Bellevue business closes after 60 years

&emsp;&emsp;One of Bellevue's oldest and most established businesses closed its doors last Monday with no warning to customers or borough residents.&emsp;&emsp;Fred Dietz Floral and Gifts first opened its doors in 1959, and previously was located in a building near the Nort Boroughs YMCA on Lincoln Avenue. Fred's son, Ed, took over the business in 1983 and, along with his wife, Kate, eventually moved the floral shop to its present location at the corner of Lincoln and South Sprague avenues (pictured at right).&emsp;&emsp;In 2017, the business was sold to Beth and Michael Kendall, who reside in Bellevue. Beth Kendall said that although they enjoyed operating the business, it turned out not to be profitable for them and they were forced to make the decision to close.&emsp;&emsp;
