Irene Porvaznik Irene Porvaznik, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Porvaznik; mother of Mary Jane Porvaznik, Nancy Dugan, Joe Porvaznik and Jim Porvaznik; sister of Annie; also survived by grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Lawrence T. He was the husband of Cheryl (Hischar) Marker; father of John Marker; grandfather of Miranda and Madison Marker; brother of Janet, Karen, Donna, and the late Ron and Carol; also survived by many nieces and nephews. (Martin) Erdner-Scheuring Dolores R. (Martin) Erdner-Scheuring, 91, of the North Hills, formerly of Ohio Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren "Pete" Erdner; grandsons Douglas Erdner, Timothy Sproul and son Robert Erdner. Also preceding Dolores were her second husband Joseph Scheuring and her brother Charles Martin. She is survived by her children Warren (Patricia) Erdner, Charles (Kathleen) Erdner, Karen (James) Sproul, Dennis (Sue) Erdner, Kathleen Erdner and Lori (Frank) Presto. She is also survived by her sister Sally Schirnhofer, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 step-children and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Joseph DiDonato, Jr. Joseph DiDonato, Jr., 91, of Ross Township, died Jan. 29, 2019. "Joe" DiDonato grew up on the north side of Pittsburgh, the son of Joseph and Marie DiDonato. He graduated from Oliver High School in 1947 and then served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Constance Cuda, on Sept. 7, 1957, and went on to raise four children in Pittsburgh, PA. After serving our country, Joe enjoyed a 38-year career with the United States Postal Service, primarily serving the Bellevue Branch neighborhoods. As a son of Italian immigrants, Joe was a generous, hardworking man who always put the needs of others before his own. His humble, engaging personality allowed him to get along with anyone. In addition to enjoying every minute with his children and grandchildren, Joe was a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast – always rooting for the black and gold. His wife, Constance, preceded him in death, as did his brother, Oresto DiDonato. Joe is survived by his four children, Paul DiDonato, John DiDonato (Marianne), Margaret Reagan (Peter), Jean Schooley (Tim); and eight grandchildren who will always have a fond place in their hearts for their "Gramps" – Matthew, Alyssa, John Michael, Mary Grace, Connie, Mary Claire, Danny, and Colleen; he is also survived by his brother, Donald DiDonato. Blackson, 87, of Kilbuck Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, of Parkinson's Disease, which he fought until the end. He was born Feb. 12, 1931 in Vandergrift, PA, son of the late Raymond and Hulda Blackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ray and John Blackson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lois (Stewart) Blackson; father of Charles (Beverly), Lisa, and Christopher Blackson; grandfather of Rachell (Kyle) Blackson-McDermott, David (Audra) Blackson, Benjamin Blackson, Meghan Blackson, Alexander Blackson, and Jacob Blackson; step-grandfather of Bridget (Jeff) Baker; also survived by six great-grandchildren; brother of Diane (Don) Dezzutti. David served for four years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. David was an engineering graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and was a vice-president of Elwin G. Smith Company, located at the time in Emsworth, PA. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Shannopin Country Club. He also liked hunting and was a member of the North Boroughs Sportsman Club.
