Charles Mehrmann Jr. Charles Franklin Mehrmann Jr., 73, of Melbourne, Australia and Ordino Andorra, formerly of Brighton Heights, died Monday, May 30, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Karen Mehrmann; two sons, Charles Mehrmann III and his wife Lisa and Wilhelm Mehrmann and his wife Rebecca; his sister, Suzanne Bearer and her husband John of Wexford; five grandchildren, Charles IV, Cooper, Harrison, Lars and Gabrielle; uncle of Karen Girty and her husband John, Deborah Reese and her husband Robert and John Bearer and his wife Eileen. He was preceded in death by his son, Bengi Mehrmann; and his parents, Charles F. Sr. and Elizabeth F. Mehrmann.A memorial service was held in Frankstown, Australia.Jesse King Jesse Dale King, 85, of Ross Township, husband of the late Ruth N. King, died Sunday, June 5, 2011. He is survived by four children, Linda King, Esther Dreveniak and her husband Thomas, Cheryl Boff and her husband Roger and Judy King; three sisters, Imogene Matus, Rachel Perrott and Ruth Matus; four grandchildren, Rachel, Thomas and John Dreveniak and Roger Boff; and a great-grandson, David. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Bramini and her husband David. Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, until the time of services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.Gilbert Mars Gilbert J. Mars, 80, of Pittsburgh, died Monday, June 6, 2011. Mr. Mars was retired from the University of Pittsburgh Police Dept. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and a member of American Legion Post #715, AmVets Post #0064 and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mars; two sisters-in-law, Carol Remmick and Virginia Mars; and two nephews, Donald and Jeffrey Mars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Grace Mars; and his brother, Donald Mars. Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Peter Church, North Side, on Thursday.Elizabeth Webber Elizabeth "Betty" Hazeltine Webber of Emsworth, wife of the late William S. Webber, died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Masonic Village, Sewickley. Mrs. Webber attended Emsworth Elementary School and was a 1938 graduate of Ben Avon High School. In 1942, she earned a degree at Pennsylvania College for Women, now Chatham College. She was active in many community organizations, including Ben Avon Presbyterian Church, KDKA Call for Action, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Emsworth Library, Shannopin Country Club, Women's Golf Association and adult literacy programs. She scored a hole-in-one in 1983 at Shannopin. While at Masonic Village, she spent time playing bridge and knitting clothing with residents to send to needy children in the U.S., and sending boxes of supplies for the Armed Services personnel abroad. She also volunteered on the food committee at Masonic Village. She is survived by five children, Lynne W. Biegler and her husband Larry of Pittsburgh, Polly A. Webber of Mountain View, CA, Kathryn W. Blake and her husband Mitch of Morgantown, WV, William S. Webber Jr. and his wife Nancy of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY and Thomas J. Webber and his wife Rose of Madison, WI; her brother, Lawrence Hazeltine; 11 grandchildren, Matt Biegler, Jesse and Sarah DeWath, Scott, Jamie and Emily Blake, Lizzy and Will Webber, T.J., Andy and Abbey Webber; and a great-grandson, Mitchel Blake. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Russell. A memorial service will be held in Star Point Building, Masonic Village of Sewickley, on Monday, June 27, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Doctors Without Borders or the American Heart Association.Andrew Williamson Andrew Scott "Hap" Williamson, 61, of Carollton, VA, died May 30, 2011 at the Hampton VA Medical Center. A native of Avalon, (Avalon High School Class of 1968), he was predeceased by his father, Edward C. Williamson and grandson, Colton Edward Williamson. Hap was a retired Navy chief gunners mate and retired sergeant with the Norfolk Sheriff's Office. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Fleet Reserve Association. Survivors include his wife, Susan E. Williamson; mother, Dorothea A. Williamson of Cranberry; two sons, Timothy E. Williamson and wife Andrea of Mechanicsville, VA and Todd A. Williamson and wife Kelly of Johns Creek, GA; one sister, Linda Flora of Cranberry; one brother, David E. Williamson of Zelienople; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Dillon, Megan, Abigail, Brandilyn, Tristen and Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Saturday, June 4, at Faith Lutheran Church. Internment was in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery.
