Eleanor L. "Nan" (Leckfor) Siglow

Eleanor L. "Nan" (Leckfor) Siglow, 96, of Avalon, died Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born Nov. 13, 1928, in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Stella Leckfor. She was the wife of the late Alphonse A. Siglow; mother of Kathryn Kress (Bill), Sharon Shoemaker (Ed), Richard Siglow (Elaine), and Carley Siglow (Elizabeth Opperman); sister of Edward Leckfor. Nan was the grandmother of Chris Shoemaker, Lauren Shoemaker, PhD (Kyle Shurman), Leah Madru (Greg), Matthew Siglow, and Rebecca Siglow; great-grandmother of Rowan and Lucas Madru; and aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Nan was an avid admirer of every baby she saw, and they loved her in return. She will join her beloved Al for their 74th wedding anniversary on June 9. The family would like to thank the staff at New Hope Assisted Living for their kind and compassionate care of Nan. Friends received Thursday, June 12, 2025, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc. 460 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 13, 2025, 10 a.m., at Regina Coeli Parish, Church of the Assumption. Interment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
