Dr. Paul J. Pugliese

Dr. Paul J. Pugliese, 92, of Ben Avon, died peacefully, Monday, Sept. 9, 2024. He was the husband of 67 years to Patricia Pugliese; father of Theresa (Joe Kossarth) Mayberry, Paula (Jimmy Guerriero) Pugliese, Lisa (Stephen) Falavolito and Patricia (Brian) Schmigel; grandfather of Ean Bennetter, Sarah (Jake) Sample, Grace Schmigel and Emma Schmigel; great-grandfather of Remy Sample. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Paul was the Librarian Director at Duquesne University for 42 years. He also served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the McDonald–Linn Funeral and Cremation Service 529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, 10 a.m. in Regina Coeli Parish, Church of the Assumption, 45 North Sprague Ave., Bellevue, Pa 15202. Burial will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Association.
