Robert Besser Robert John Besser, 79, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the late Betty Schiellien Besser, died Sunday, June 7,2015. Mr. Besser was a Bellevue High School and Duquesne University graduate. He is survived by two sisters, Betty Haughin of Zelienople and Mary Alice Naylor of Bradenton, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerick and Elizabeth Pohlot Besser; and his brother, Emerick Besser. Services and burial were held in Arizona.

James Malloy James Regis Malloy, 94, of Emsworth, died Monday, April 6, 2015. Mr. Malloy was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Duquesne Light Co. after 44 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy R. Gastner Malloy; and three children, Bonnie Bass and her husband James, Diane Barr and her husband James and Ronald Regis Malloy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sister Mary Sheila Malloy. There was no visitation and services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Killian Duffy Killian M. "Kelly" Duffy died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014. She is survived by five siblings, Kenneth M. Duffy of California, Kieren Duffy-Gibson and her husband Rich, Keven M. Duffy and his wife Pam, Kimberly M. Duffy and her husband Michael and Kristin M. Duffy-McDaniel and her husband Keith; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Beth Duffy.

Dorthy Dorman Dorthy G. (Gercken) Dorman, 93, of West View, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence C. Dorman; beloved mother of June (Harry) Bolette and Nancy (Martin) Tranquada; grandmother of Fiona, Andrew, Hazel, Eileen, Colin, John, Justin, and Adam; great-grandmother of Luke and Joey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, June; and her brother, Joseph. Friends were received Monday at 6 p.m. for a memorial service in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., Ross Township.

Edgar Steinmark Edgar George Steinmark, 88, of Providence Point, South Hills, formerly of Bellevue, Wallingford, PA, Upper St. Clair, Wilmington, DE and Bath, OH, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 in Family Hospice and Palliative Care.

Family and friends of the late U. S. Army Staff Sergeant Eric S. Holman joined with Ohio Township supervisors last Saturday morning to dedicate a memorial commemorating Eric's service and ultimate sacrifice to his country when he was killed in action on Aug.15, 2012.

Growing up in Ohio Township, Eric graduated in 1990 from Avonworth High School. He then attended Penn State, graduating in 1995 with degrees in criminal justice and mechanical engineering. He died in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he encountered an enemy improvised explosive device.

Katherine Andrews Katherine Daisy Peyton Andrews, 71, of Emsworth, died Saturday, July 13, 2013. Mrs. Andrews was retired from Oliver High School, where she had been a child care and teen parent teacher. She was a member of Bethel Assembly Church, where she was a Sunday school and prayer class teacher.

Ellen Clark Ellen M. Carr Clark, 83, of Emsworth, wife of the late Raymond Clark, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Clark and his wife Rhonda Starkey of Westford, MA and Ed Clark and his wife Patty of Ohio Twp.; two siblings, Phyllis Fellure and Albert Carr; four grandchildren, Ashley Slaney, Chelsey, Alex and Corey Clark; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Thomas, Edmund, Joseph and Kenneth Carr and Lois Korando.

Carl Trimber Carl E. Trimber, 79, of Ross Township, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Mr. Trimber was retired as a teacher and coach at Northgate High School for more than 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an avid runner. He is survived by his wife, Bette Nazzaro Trimber; two daughters, Sharon and Lisa Trimber; his sister, Margaret Dalzell; and nieces and nephews.

Lynn Searight Jr. Lynn R. Searight, 83, of the North Side, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Joanne M. Searight; four children, Lee and Tim Searight, Lisa M. Blauch and her husband Victor and Sherri L. Searight-McKinney and her husband Bob, all of Pittsburgh; two siblings, William F. Searight and his wife Virginia and Geraldine M. Searight; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews. Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where a blessing service was held on Friday.

M.L. "Petey" Hager On Dec. 27, 2012 Petey passed away quietly at the age of 89 in Sykesville, MD. Her energy, enthusiasm and spirit for life will be incredibly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave., followed by a social gathering in the fellowship room to celebrate her life.

Tristan Grande Tristan L. "Pete" Grande, 85, of Ben Avon, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. Mr. Grande was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired U.S. Postal Service employee.

Robert Swazuk Robert S. Swazuk, 66, of Worthington, OH, formerly of Ben Avon, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. Mr. Swazuk attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Avonworth High School. He joined the U.S. Army at age 16. General Matthew Ridgeway interceded so he could join the 173rd Airborne Brigade, A Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Platoon in Okinawa, Japan in 1964. In April 1965, the unit was sent to Vietnam, where he served as a unit radio operator. After the war, he continued his education. He was a manufacturing representative in plumbing and HVAC.

Julia Bamberger Julia Bamberger, 97, of Bellevue, wife of the late William Bamberger, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She is survived by four children, Richard Bamberger, William Bamberger, Connie Redman and Barbara Boyd and her husband Howard; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kay Bamberger. Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in St. Boniface Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Todorowski; his mother, Frances Todorowski; and six siblings, Elaine Scorza, Mary Jean Walko, Lisa Papinchak, Donald, Daniel and Michael Todorowski.
