Deborah Lee Hartwick Deborah Lee Hartwick, age 57, of Avalon, died Feb. 5, 2015. Loving mother of Michael A. Hartwick and Daniel C. Hightower (Stefanie); dear sister of Louie and John Lamonde and Alvin Clark, adoring grandmother of Keyonna, Michael Jr., “DC”, Dante and Danica; treasured aunt and friend of many. Kathleen Dunn Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Walsh Dunn, 72, of Waxhaw, NC, formerly of Bellevue, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 in Hospice House of Union County, Monroe, NC. Mrs. Dunn enjoyed reading. She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Dunn; four sons, Buddy Dunn and his wife Elizabeth and Patrick Dunn and his wife Callie, all of Seattle, WA, Christopher Dunn and his wife Sara of Downingtown, PA and Kevin Dunn and his wife Heather of Pataskala, OH; two siblings, Joe Walsh and Jane Walsh, both of Santa Cruz, CA; and eight grandchildren.


Samuel LaRocca Samuel LaRocca, 95, of Avalon, husband of the late Mary Louise Nicolette LaRocca, died Friday, April 23, 2010. Mr. LaRocca was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony and taught at the University of Pittsburgh and abroad.


There's not much of a problem in picking up a bottle of wine these days. Stop at a wine and spirits shop (no longer called a liquor store) or maybe at one of a growing number of grocery stores offering hundreds of selections of chardonnay, cabernet or merlot to sip with dinner.

Ruth Andlor, 89, of Bellevue, wife of the late Joseph Andlor Jr., died Friday, May 29, 2009.

Mrs. Andlor had been a volunteer at North Suburban Adult Services and Lutheran Services Society of Bellevue. She was a member of ISDA Amity Lodge #45 and the Church of the Assumption.
