Marjorie Curtin Marjorie J. "Margie" Curtin died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Mrs. Curtin was a retired crossing guard for the City of Pittsburgh. She is survived by two children, Dena Hitchan and her husband Paul and Don Curtin and his wife Mary of Columbus, OH; her brother, Jim Montgomery and his wife Rayna; and six grandchildren, Haylee and Megan Hitchan, Joshua, Andrew, Zachary and Samantha Curtin. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Smith Montgomery.

He is survived by his daughters Terri Tuma and her husband Jeffrey; LaVerne Weigand and her fiance Marc Tatton; LaTawnia Kershaw and “son-in-law” Steve Shuljak; his grandchildren Bobbie, Nicholette, Casey and Benjamin; six great-grandchildren, siblings Albert Weigand and Mary Andrews, and 23 nieces and nephews.

She is survived by four nephews, Frank DiCicco and his wife Sue, Larry DiCicco and his wife Patti, Marc DiCicco and his wife Donual and Paul DiCicco and his wife Liz; and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Fabino; her sister, Anna DiCicco; her nephew, Matthew; and her niece, Michelle. There was no visitation. Arrangements were made by Stephen M. Marianne Schmitt Marianne E. Waters Schmitt, wife of the late William "Wiggie" Schmitt, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. She is survived by four siblings, Angelika Paschke of Germany, Frank J. Waters, Raymond J. Waters and his wife Marilyn and Dorothy M. "Dodo" Withers and her husband Bob; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond A. Sr. and Hildegarde Pampuch Waters. Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Saturday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

Dorman; beloved mother of June (Harry) Bolette and Nancy (Martin) Tranquada; grandmother of Fiona, Andrew, Hazel, Eileen, Colin, John, Justin, and Adam; great-grandmother of Luke and Joey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, June; and her brother, Joseph. Friends were received Monday at 6 p.m. for a memorial service in the H.P. Claudia Veder Claudia Veder, 93, of Emsworth, wife of the late Charles Veder, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. Mrs. Veder was a 1937 graduate of Oliver High School, where she had been valedictorian. She was a volunteer at Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth and at Suburban General Hospital. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Baginski and her husband Tom, Barbara J. DeTemple and her husband Donald and Terry A. Walsh and her husband Mike; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy E. Opperman; and two brothers. There was no visitation. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Saturday. Julia Bamberger Julia Bamberger, 97, of Bellevue, wife of the late William Bamberger, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She is survived by four children, Richard Bamberger, William Bamberger, Connie Redman and Barbara Boyd and her husband Howard; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kay Bamberger. Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Brother Harry Dierks Brother Harry Paschal Dierks, OFM, 82, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Brother Harry was a member of Franciscan Friars, St. John the Baptist Province. He ministered at St. Anthony Friary in Uniontown, PA, St. Francis Retreat House in Easton, PA, the former Franciscan House of Evangelization in Pittsburgh and Holy Family Friary in Avalon. He is survived by three siblings, Rosemarie Sacharnski, LaVerne Dierks and Thomas Dierks, all of Union City, NJ; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Dierks.

Kisling Jr. and Ty Kisling; two sisters, Irene Roof and her husband Jack and Virginia Klimko and her husband Edward; and five grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Zachary, Justin and Tyler Kisling.
