Bellevue holiday events

The North Suburban Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring “The North Boros Holiday Celebration,” featuring a wide variety of activities and events, Friday, Dec. 1, on Lincoln Avenue in Bellevue.

Additionally, the Bellevue Farmers Market is hosting a holiday market, 5-9 p.m. in the lower level of The Center of Bellevue, 2 North Sprague St. The market features food products, baked goods, handcrafted items, ceramics, jewelry, body products, candles and more.

Food trucks will be parked along Lincoln Avenue from 5-8 p.m.

The memorial tree lighting celebration at the YMCA takes place from 5-5:45 p.m. and features the Northgate High School Choir. From 5:45-6 p.m., the Northgate High School Band will parade to the Center of Bellevue.

The Youth Christmas Concert will perform at the Center of Bellevue Sanctuary from 6-7 p.m.

All evening from 6-8 p.m. on Lincoln Avenue, there will be horse drawn carriage rides, and outdoor grill, a stuffed bear raffle, a 50/50 raffle and complimentary cookies and hot chocolate. Local vendors are featuring specials, too, in the Bellevue business district.

Join the Christ the King Choir in a Christmas Carol sing-along from 6-6:15 p.m. and hear holiday songs by Mariposa Theatre from 6:20-6:40 p.m.

The tree lighting at the Center of Bellevue patio is scheduled for 6:45 p.m., and Mayor Cusick will read “The Night Before Christmas.”

Santa will arrive by firetruck at the Center of Bellevue at 7 p.m.

Presented by Local Basement Brewers, Dec. 1 will also mark the opening of a micro brewery at 538 Lincoln Ave.. Beginning at 6 p.m., adults can learn about the project and those individuals at least 21 years old can sample local brews at a suggested donation of $2 for a 5 ounce taster.
