Bayne Library to celebrate 100 years

Event Date: Fri, 2014-01-10 - Thu, 2014-05-01

People who would like to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of Andrew Bayne Memorial Library in Bellevue are invited to get involved.

A celebration is being planned for May, 100 years after the announcement in 1914 that two rooms of the former Amanda Bayne Balph and Jane Bayne Teece home would be opened to the public as a library.

People can help in several ways. Those with photographs or other memorabilia are asked to loan them to the library for the celebration. Others with memories of the library in its earlier years are invited to share their stories. Also, anyone who would like to be part of the planning of the celebration itself are welcome.

For information or to volunteer, contact library director Denise Plaskon at (412)766-7447.
