Only 150 people have the opportunity to join an exclusive club to help celebrate Bellevue's sesquicentennial this year.
Membership in the 150 Club costs $150, which will help fund celebration events that will include a parade, a carnival, concerts and other performances, and other events beginning in June. For that donation, the 150 Club member will receive a hardbound copy of the sesquicentennial book, reserved seating for themselves and a guest at activities, and admission to a special "speakeasy" reception. In addition, the member can write a one-page letter that will be placed in a time capsule.
To join, mail a check made payable to the Borough of Bellevue to 537 Bayne Ave., 15202, with "150 Club" in the memo line, or join on-line from the borough's Web site www.bellevuepa.org, clicking on the sesquicentennial celebration tab, and then the "donate now," which will allow credit card payments.
