Shirley Leininger Shirley R. McMillin Leininger, 79, of Bellevue, wife of the late W.C. "Bill" Leininger, died Sunday, June 3, 2012. She is survived by four children, Susan Enzerra and her husband David, Kenneth Leininger and is wife Cindy, Matthew Leininger and his wife Sandy and Lori Rankin and her husband Wade; three siblings, Glenn McMillin and his wife Eleanor, June Seamon and her husband Oliver and Earl McMillin and his wife Nancy; and 12 grandchildren.


Brother Harry Dierks Brother Harry Paschal Dierks, OFM, 82, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Brother Harry was a member of Franciscan Friars, St. John the Baptist Province. He ministered at St. Anthony Friary in Uniontown, PA, St. Francis Retreat House in Easton, PA, the former Franciscan House of Evangelization in Pittsburgh and Holy Family Friary in Avalon. He is survived by three siblings, Rosemarie Sacharnski, LaVerne Dierks and Thomas Dierks, all of Union City, NJ; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Dierks.


Catherine Smith Catherine Smith, 83, of Avalon, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Ms. Smith was retired from Bell Telephone Co. She was an active member of Telephone Pioneers. She is survived by her sister, Joan Moore and her husband Paul; her brother-in-law, Clarence Dively; nieces and nephews; and aunt of Pam and Jessica Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Stella Smith; and five siblings, Anna Dively, Mary Lamberth, Jim, Jack and Tom Smith.


Ernest Rahm Ernest Rahm, 68, of Ben Avon, husband of the late Cynthia Moses Rahm, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He is survived by two children, Eric Rahm and his wife Jill and Heather Abbott and her husband Pat; two sisters, Helga and Shirley; and three grandchildren, Eric, Christopher and Jacob. Edythe Clair Edythe M. Hite Clair died Saturday, May 19, 2012. Mrs. Clair was a former business owner in Bellevue.

Clarence Schweitzer Clarence A. "Al" Schweitzer, 68, of the North Side, husband of the late Dolores M. "Dee" Schweitzer, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Mr. Schweitzer was a retired credit manager from Cassidy-Pierce where he had worked for 17 years. Prior to that he worked at Westinghouse Credit for 25 years.


Theresa Zinkhan Theresa E. Zinkhan, 89, of Avalon, formerly of Wexford and wife of the late William "Pete" Zinkhan, died Friday, March 30, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Maniet and her husband David; three siblings, Mary Wolfarth, Edward and James Devine; and two grandsons, David Maniet Jr. and William Maniet. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Paul and Florence Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.


Anthony Morris Anthony G. Morris III, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Mr. Morris served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of foreign wars. He was a Stowe Township, McKees Rocks and Avalon police officer and a campus police lieutenant at Thiel College. He is survived by his parents, Ada and Anthony Morris; a brother, Joe and Melee Morris; his grandmother, Gladys Milender; neices and nephews, Ian, Jasmine, and Kiera Schon, Brianna Clark and Aaron and Xavier Morris; cousins and friends.


Lois Hutchison Lois "Hutch's Mom" Hutchison of Pittsburgh died Monday, March 19, 2012. She is survived by six children, Sheila Harvey-Meta, Cindy Johnston, Frank Hutchison, Chris Burns, Kelly Demko and Edward Poplowski; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Gayle Zagel and Donna Miller. Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. Funeral services were held in Riverview United Presbyterian Church, Observatory Hill on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Matthew Church.

Joan Weaver Joan R. Weaver of Bellevue died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012. Mrs. Weaver was retired from Children and Youth Services of Allegheny County. She is survived by two children, Kelly P. Rosenfelder and his wife JoAnn; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jocelyn and her husband Weaver, Chelsea, Noah, Caleb and Christian Zablo; and a great-granddaughter, Izabella Mares.


Frederick Randolph Frederick D. Randolph, 80, of Avalon, formerly of Indiana, PA, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012. Mr. Randolph was a graduate of California University of PA. He taught industrial arts and drafting at Avonworth High School for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post #0141, VFW Post #1989 and Indiana Franklin Masonic Lodge #0313.


Janet Young Janet Grace Allaman Young, 78, of Ross Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. Mrs. Young enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening and traveling to all but five of the United States. She also traveled to five continents and went on 20 cruises. She had most recently traveled to Hawaii and Antigua.
