Dolores Stapanik
Dolores "Dolly" Stapanik died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Hardesty; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rozalia Stapanik; and four siblings, Mary Louise Wisniowski, John Stapanik, Agnes Kosinski and Helen Westover.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Friday.
Joanne Searight
Joanne M. Searight, 81, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Lynn R. Searight, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015.
She is survived by four children, Lee Searight, Tim Searight, Lisa M. Blauch and her husband Victor and Sherri L. Searight-McKinney and her husband Bob, all of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral home, Avalon. Burial was private. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Lorraine Dorsch
Lorraine Mary Dorsch, 83, of Ross Township, wife of the late Carl J. Dorsch, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015.
Mrs. Dorsch was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church and the Guild and its Christian Mothers. She was co-director and co-choreographer with the St. Teresa Players for more than 50 years.
She is survived by three children, Carl Dorsch and his wife Elizabeth, Lorraine Nist and her husband Thomas and Mary Anne Kilburg and her husband Eric; 10 grandchildren, Christen Statler and her husband Dan, Logan Dorsch and his wife Cassy, Nathan Dorsch, Joe Nist and his wife Stacy, Maria Baker and her husband Jon, David Nist, Angela, Monica, Daniel and Theresa Kilburg; and three feat-grandchildren, Micah and Levi Statler and Penny Baker.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Teresa of Avila Church on Saturday. Donations are suggested to Vincentian Home Personal Care/Memory Lane, 111 Perrymont Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

David Tuzikow
David G. "Big Dave" Tuzikow, 46, of West View, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.
Mr. Tuzikow was a graduate of Northgate High School, where he was a varsity wrestling and football letterman. He worked at H&H Communications for many years.
He is survived by three children, Megan,Casey and David Tuzikow; his parents, Albert Tuzikow of Clarion, PA and Barbara Visokey of Mesa, AZ; three siblings, Dawn Tuzikow, Faith Visokey and Ralph Armstrong of Chicago, IL; his grandson, Gannon; his companion, Kristin Katchmark; five step-siblings; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mave Geddis
Mave Victoria Geddis, Esq., 89, of Bellevue, died Friday, July 10, 2015.
Ms. Geddis was a University of Pittsburgh graduate and earned a law degree in 1952. She was admitted to the PA Supreme Court in 1953 and had practiced law in Pittsburgh and Bellevue for 62 years. She was an assistant district attorney in Allegheny County, an assistant Allegheny County solicitor and worked on the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the PA Labor Relations Board. She was a longtime member of Greenstone United Methodist Church in Avalon and a member of Shannopin Country Club for 47 years.
She is survived by two nieces, a nephew and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sarah Geddis; and her brother, Brian Geddis.
Friends will be received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home in Bellevue on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will be held following visitation. Contributions are suggested to the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, P.O. Box 9024, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

Nancy Simon
Nancy Jane Simon of Ben Avon Heights died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015.
Ms. Simon was a graduate of the College of Wooster and earned a bachelor's degree at Carnegie Institute of Technology, now CMU. She earned a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked in the special education field and was retired as manager of medical administration at Gulf Oil Corp. She was a former member of the Twentieth Century Club and the Junior League of Pittsburgh. She was a Ben Avon Heights Council member and an active member of Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, where she taught Sunday school, was an elder and on the board of deacons and other church committees. She enjoyed vacationing in Northern Michigan on Lake Charlevoix.
She is survived by two siblings, William P. Simon and his wife Lois and Jean Hollister and her husband William; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later. Memorial contributions are suggested to Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave., Ben Avon, PA 15202 or Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Jackie Yurkovich
Jackie Yurkovich, 65, of Avalon, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Yurkovich; two children, Valerie Cupps and her husband Ryan and Kevin Yurkovich and his wife Lori; two sisters, Barbara Rusch and her husband Larry and Karen Welch and her husband Denny; her granddaughter, Nicole; her niece, Kristin; her grand-dog, Steeler; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services will be held today, Friday, at 10 a.m.

Craig Olszewski
Craig A. Olszewski, 54, of Brighton Heights, formerly of Polish Hill, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at Virginia Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Ritter Olszewski; his father, Francis J. Olszewski; two siblings, Keith Olszewski and Lynette Auth and her husband Alan; two stepchildren, Kevin Udovich and his wife Julia and Alison Udovich and her husband Butch Walls; his step-granddaughter, Elliana; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tex and Pat Ritter; his sister-in-law, Judy Olszewski; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey A. Labacz Olszewski; and his brother, Greg Olszewski.
