Mildred Kastory
Mildred Kastory, 84, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009.
Mrs. Kastory was retired from Gulf Oil Corp. with 27 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Schneider and her husband Gary of Bellevue and Mildred Rankin and her husband Donald of Australia; and two grandchildren, Christopher Schneider of Bellevue and Kylie Rankin Grose and her husband Ralston.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon, where a blessing service was held on Saturday. Donations are suggested to Vincentian Regency, 9399 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15106.

Denis Farrell
Denis Joseph Farrell, 41, of Avalon, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009.
Mr. Farrell was a graduate of North Hills High School and had attended West Virginia University. He completed his education at Bidwell Training Center, specializing in horticulture. He worked as an independent contractor installing carpet.
He is survived by his mother Barbara Farrell; his sister, Angela Farrell-Voit and her husband Michael of North Hills; and aunts and uncles.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday.

Irene Timmins
Irene T. Timmins, 76, formerly of North Side and wife of the late Earl R. Timmins, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009.
She is survived by three children, Richard and Earl Timmins and Patricia McGurgan and her husband James; two grandsons, Shaun Patrick and Justin James McGurgan; and nieces and nephews.
There was no visitation and services were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Dorothy McClurg
Dorothy Chandler McClurg, 95, formerly of North Hills and wife of the late William E. McClurg, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009.
She is survived by two children, Robert F. McClurg of Mars, PA and Jill M. Fusaro of Blawnox; four grandchildren, David W. McClurg and his wife Lisa of West View, Dana M. Steedle, Gina A. Fusaro and Tony P. Fusaro, all of Blawnox; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, until the time of services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Wayne Fusaro Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, 451 Walnut St., Pittsburgh, PA 15238.

Jean Scalise
Jean T. Asic Scalise, 76, of Spring Hill, wife of the late Joseph P. Scalise, died Aug. 28, 2009.
She is survived by four daughters, Teri Scalise Hamm and her husband John, Sandy Sessoms and her husband Dr. Frank, JoAnne Scalise and her husband Oscar McConnell and Mary Jo Scalise. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Asic.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Boniface Church on Saturday. Burial was private.
