Jane Conover
Jane Dolan Conover of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Bellevue and Ross Township, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
Mrs. Conover was a vice president of Conover and Associates for more than 45 years.
She is survived by her husband, William S. Conover; five stepchildren, David W. Conover and his wife Celia, Susan C. Bentley and her husband Arlen, Patricia C. Hare and her husband Kevin, Ann C. Hunt and her husband Andrew and Katie C. Kolbe and her husband Jim; three siblings, Mary Schneider, Peggy Zotter and her husband Randall and Robert Dolan and his wife Elba; seven nieces and nephews, William Schneider and his wife Jamie, Robert Schneider, Jane Baroffio and her husband Jerry, Mary Anne Schneider Eldridge and her husband Charles, David Zotter and his wife Stacy, Linda Zotter and Dennis Dolan; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Dolan.
Friends were received at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. John Capistran Church on Wednesday. Contributions are suggested to the Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.

Florence Burkhart
Florence Graczyk Burkhart, 75, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Joseph Burkhart Jr., died Friday, July 30, 2010.
She is survived by three children, Tony Mutz and his wife Debbie, Joseph Burkhart and his wife Patricia and Therese Curtis and her husband Gary; her brother, William Graczyk; and four grandchildren, Kevin Mutz, Michelle, Mike and Lisa Curtis. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Marie; and two sisters, Dorothy Stecko and Gertrude Gregor.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A traditional Latin Requiem High Mass was held in Holy Wisdom Parish at St. Boniface Church on Tuesday.

Barbara Priestley
Barbara Jean Bruder Priestley, 72, of Ross Township, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010.
Mrs. Priestley was a graduate of Bellevue High School, Grove City College and the University of Pittsburgh. She was an English professor and had taught at several colleges, including Point Park. She was an avid dog lover.
She is survived by her husband Donald L. Priestley; two daughters, Kristen M. Priestley and her husband Patrick M. Sanders of Pittsburgh and Ingrid E. Priestley of Emsworth; two siblings, James Bruder and his wife Janice of Minnesota and Marjorie Bruder of Ross Township; and her grandson, Joshua Priestley of Emsworth. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Swan Bruder.
Friends were received at Simons Funeral Home, North Hills. A memorial service will be held in Northway Christian Community Church, Wexford, on Saturday. Contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Rebecca Thomas
Rebecca Jane Matz Thomas, 85, of Kilbuck Township, wife of the late William Burney Thomas, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Westminster College and a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She taught in an elementary school in Bradford Woods many years ago. She was a longtime member of Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, where she was a deacon. She was active in PARC and had served on several committees, was a member of the Fortnightly Study Group and Shannopin Country Club.
She is survived by three children, Rebecca Osterwise and her husband Donald of Kilbuck Township, William B. Thomas III and his wife Pamela of Denver, CO and Howard Matz Thomas of Greentree; six grandchildren, Anthony, David, Elizabeth, Nicole, Rebecca and Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren, Isabella, Thomas, Emily, Alexander, Madeleine, Aliva, Ryan and Anthony; five sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret Matz of Cranberry, John "Bud" Thomas and his wife Helen of Houston, TX, Frank Thomas and Melinda Miller, both of Ligonier, and Charlotte Hamilton and her husband James of Sewickley; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William H. Matz.
A celebration of life service will be held in Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church at 7501 Church Ave., Ben Avon, PA 15202; Partners for Quality Foundation, Inc., 8 Hattman Dr., Coraopolis, PA 15108; or Vincentian Home, 111 Perrymont Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Agnes Cooley
Agnes M. Cooley, 77, of Oakdale, formerly of Brighton Heights and wife of the late Walter J. "Sonny" Cooley, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane A. King and her husband James P.; two sisters, Jane Walker and Norma Hasara; two grandchildren, Debbie Story and her husband Austin, and James P. King, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Evan King, Madison and Samantha Story; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Charney; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Henrietta Mihlfried Wagner; and her grandson, James P. King Jr.
There was no visitation. Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side.

Victoria Salak
Victoria M. Wozniak Salak, 94, formerly of McKeesport and wife of the late Walter Salak, died Friday, July 30, 2010 in Wexford House Nursing Center.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Brian Stegner of Florida, Robin Conway of California, Karen Craig of Georgia, Denise Stegner and Christopher Stegner, both of Florida; 15 great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Dr. S.R. and Beverley Hussaini. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Salak and Jeanne Stegner; her grandson, Robert Stegner; and five siblings.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, McKeesport.
