Michael Weinzierl
Michael J. Weinzierl, 55, of Ohio Twp. died Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
Mr. Weinzierl was a 1976 graduate of North Allegheny High School. In 1980, he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Clarion University and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma, National Chapter, fraternity. In 1983, he was the founder of Professional Graphic Communications. He was a certified forms consultant and member of the Midwest Distributors Association and American Marketing Association. He was owner and operator of other businesses, including Salon Nuvo, Three Rivers Documents and Weaverling Printing. He was a volunteer for area organizations and charities including the Boy Scouts of America Troop 321, Salvation Army, Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, Ross/West View EMS and the American Veterans. He also was a board member of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce. He earned many awards including PEAK Grand award by Print Solutions magazine, the 2012 Bill Powis Community Service award. He was a longtime member of St. Mary Church in Sewickley. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, movies, horse racing, golfing, fishing and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Weinzierl; three children, Joseph M., Andrea S. and Melinda K. Weinzierl; his brother, Joseph "Buster" Weinzierl and his wife Sally; his mother-in-law, Katherine Daly; his brother-in-law, Mark Wagner and his wife Geri; and nieces and nephews, Mary Roeser and her husband David, Sean, Cierra and Daniel Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Pigoni Weinzierl.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Ross Township. A celebration of life was held in Mayernik Center. A memorial donation is suggested for an American Cancer Society Mosaic of Hope to be created, and sent to 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Marcus Fisher
Marcus M. Fisher, 97, of Ben Avon, husband of the late Ruth Fisher and Juliana Fisher, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
Mr. Fisher had been an administrative vice president in accounting and then financial vice president at U.S. Steel Corp. He began his career in 1938 with U.S. Steel American Steel and Wire Division in Massachusetts. He was transferred to Cleveland and then to New York as a junior statistician and then to Pittsburgh as assistant to the statistics supervisor. He later returned to New York as supervisor of U.S. Steel statistics division and then as an assistant comptroller. He attended school in Collington, PA, the Wharton School of the University of PA, New York University and Duquesne University, where he earned a law degree. He was a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute, Financial Executives Institute, PA Bar Association, National Association of Accountants, the Duquesne Club, the YMCA and the Edgeworth Club. He was a member of Community Chest of Allegheny County and served as the vice chairman of the Agency Operations Committee. He also sang in a band recently.
He is survived by three children, John, Sarah and Emma; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Carl and Barbara.

Karen Charles
Karen A. Charles, 67, of Ross Township, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013.
She is survived by three children, Ronald J. Charles of Houston, TX, Todd J. Charles and his wife Rebecca of Cranberry Township and Becky L. Cantanzaro and her husband James of Pittsburgh; two siblings, Gary Haynes and his wife Celine and Diana Snyder; and five grandchildren, Micah, Carter, Logan, Jonathan and Domenic. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jean Haynes; and her brother, Kenneth Haynes.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a blessing service was held on Friday. Contributions are suggested to the Charles family.

Erlean Hall
Erlean M. Hall, 77, of Canonsburg, wife of the late R. Hall, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
Friends were received at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Bellevue, where a celebration of life service was held on Thursday. Burial was in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Genevieve “Becky” Heit
Benevieve “Becky Heit, 88, formerly of Bellevue, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. She was the wife of the late James G. Helt; mother of Linda (Les) Sutherland, James R. and the late Christine Diane Helt; grandmother of Jeffrey (Dani), Christopher, Joshua and Timothy Sutherland; great-grandmother of Emily and Lucy Lynn; sister-in-law of Helen and the late Bill Bracken. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late James and Cecilia David; sisters Ethel, Cecilia, Julia, Mary Pat and Marjorie; and brother James. Friends were received Tuesday at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday in the Church of the Assumption, where Becky was a long time parishioner and member of the Christian Mothers.

Catherine Swanson
Catherine (Primrose Swanson, 86, of Marshall Township, formerly of Bellevue died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013. She was the wife of the late Joseph D. Swanson; mother of Margaret Swanson and JoAnn (Wayne) Rosenfelder; grandmother of Nicole Rosenfelder. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Betty and Kathryn Primrose. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Swanson; and brothers, John and Peter Primrose.
Catherine was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Assumption. She worked for Verizon for 37 years and was a member of Telecom Pioneers of America.
Friends were received at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday at the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue, with interment at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Celtic Hospice, 150 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046.

Arthur F. Zimmerman
Arthur F. Zimmerman of Avalon died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013.
He was the husband of husband of Judith (Carroll) Zimmerman; father of Libby and Kevin Zimmerman; brother of L. Charles Zimmerman, Allene Nichols, Lorraine Whitehouse, Camilla DeZort, Patricia Baumiller, Cynthia Kaufman and Kathlyne Zimmerman; also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
