Richard A. Barnhart
Richard A. Barnhart, 82, of Bellevue, died Sunday, July 22, 2018.
He was the husband of Charlotte (Schlarp) Barnhart; father of Karen (Daniel) Saunders, Donna (Nathan) Weinstein, Joanne (Stephen) Wanat and Elaine Saunders; brother of Elizabeth Outly, John (Sandra) Hart, and the late Raymond (surviving wife, Margaret) Barnhart and Marian Fitz; also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospice.

D. Bruce “Bubba” Matthews
D. Bruce “Bubba” Matthews, 71, of Avalon, died Saturday, July 21, 2018.
He was the father of Donna Lynn, Samuel Scott, Steven Allen and Michael Patrick; grandfather of Mariah Matthews; father-in-law of Angela Nicotra; son of the late Shirley Matthews; also survived by the mother of his children Esther Matthews-Morgenstern.
Bruce was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate Fan. He enjoyed oldies music, western movies and western books.
He was a former Dark Room Technician at UPMC Montifiore Hospital.

James Convery
James Convery, 69, of Bellevue, died Saturday, July 14, 2018.
He was the son of the late Dolores Carson Convery and James F. Convery; husband of Madelyn Glassner Convery; father of Amy (Shaun) Cawley and Mark (Heidi) Convery; brother of Michael (Earleen Birkner) Convery; grandfather of Mack and Hazel Convery.
A decorated U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran, James was a longtime employee with the U.S. Postal Service in Warrendale.
Services on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the North Shore Trail Vietnam Veterans War Monument.

Charles “Chuck” T. Davis
Charles “Chuck” T Davis, 89, of Ben Avon, died Sunday, July 22, 2018.
He was the husband of 59 years to Sally A. Davis; father of Deborah Sadowski of Ben Avon and Thomas C. Davis (wife Annette) of Freedom; proud Pap of Samuel, Charity, Noah and Molly.
Chuck served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force. He was also a life member of the Ambridge F&AM Lodge #701 and a member of the Ben Avon Historical Society.
The family suggests memorial donations to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Bruce A. Hilty
Bruce A. Hilty, 60, of Emsworth, formerly of McMurray, died Saturday, July 14, 2018.
He was the husband of Deborah (Straub) Hilty; father of Casey Hilty, Carly (Jason) Baker and Courtney (Kyle) Bills; son of Dalton and Laverne Hilty; brother of Jeff (Lizann) Hilty, Cynthia (Bob) Loebig, Randy (Kathie) Hilty and Mark (Michelle) Hilty; Pap Pap of Nolan and Callum Baker; godfather of Jordan Hilty; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bruce was the owner of Taste Food Solutions and worked in the food industry for over 30 years. He will be remembered as a hard worker and dedicated family man.

Catherine (Hatton) East
Catherine (Hatton) East, of West View, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, just short of her 90th birthday.
She was the wife of the late Joseph F. East; mother of Diana (Kim) Hyde and Donna (Joe) Rocco; grandmother of Lynn, Jean and Joseph Hyde and Julie and Jonathan Graham; sister of Betty Jo Rollins and Sally Blosser.
Catherine was preceded in death by four brothers. Donations in Catherine's memory are suggested to Kane Ross Center, 110 McIntyre Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Frank E. Sessoms, M.D.
Frank E. Sessoms M.D., died Sunday, July 22, 2018.
He was the son of the late Frank L. and Catherine Sessoms; survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sandra (Scalise) Sessoms; siblings, Carol Browder, Furmin (Sharon) Sessoms, Vincent (Cynthia) Sessoms, Gloria (Lee) Davis, Norphas (Rita) Sessoms, Dennis, Anthony, Dwight and Mary Catherine Sessoms and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Frank was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, an honors graduate of Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College, both in Nashville, TN. He attended summer intensive studies at Harvard University. While at Tennessee State University, he was involved in the struggle for civil rights. He practiced medicine at St. John’s Hospital, Forbes Metro and West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. He had a successful family medicine practice in Pittsburgh.
Frank loved people, life and the practice of medicine. His life was a lesson in both giving to others, one of activism and the pursuit of academic and intellectual excellence. Frank was voted Minority Physician of the Year by Gateway Medical Society, member of the National Medical Association, Life Member of the NAACP, National Urban League, the FROGS Social Club (Pittsburgh), Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., former member of the Meharry Medical College Board of Trustees (13 years), President Meharry National Alumni Association and member of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association, Life Member TSU Big Blue Club. The Governor appointed Frank to the Commission on African American Affairs (PA).
Indeed Frank E. Sessoms, M.D. was a renaissance man, a man for all seasons. His passing leaves a deep void in the life of his Sandy, family, patients and friends that he touched.
