Karl D.Kaminski
Kaminski, Karl D., Age 45, of Avalon, formerly of McKees Rocks, on Thursday, September 6, 2012.
Beloved husband of Becky Lynn (Daugherty); son of Florence and the late Michael; brother of Michael Jr. (Heather) and Mark (Naylene); Also survived by aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Karl was a proud Mason of Lodge 725.
Friends were recieved Saturday, Sept. 8, 6 - 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 - 4, 6 - 8 p.m. at the Valerian F. Szal Funeral Home Inc., 238 Helen St. McKees Rocks. Funeral Services were held on Monday, 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of God Parish, the Church at St. Mary's, 9:30 a.m.

Mary Elizabeth Patterson
Mary Elizabeth "Pat" Patterson, 87, of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly of Bellevue, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 in Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg.
Ms. Patterson was retired from U.S. Steel Corp. in Pittsburgh as an accounts manager. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption and a member and past treasurer of Bellevue AARP.
She is survived by her nephew, John Brennan Patterson and his companion JoEllen Szekeres of Marysville, PA; and a grandniece, Kelly Patterson and her husband Matthew McWilliams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. and Mary C. "May" Flynn Patterson; and four brothers, Norman, Robert, John and Harold Patterson.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

James Wood
James Craig Wood, 68, of Ben Avon, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
Mr. Wood was a Colorado State University graduate, and in 1970 earned his Ph.D at Arizona State University. He was a professor of political science at Adams State University in Alamosa, CO and California University of PA, where he received the outstanding teacher award. He was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife Judy Wood; five children, Wendy Rowland and her husband Chris, Kevin Wood and his wife Kim, Bradley White, Kirsten Poole and Leslie Whitecrow; his brother, Gary Wood and his wife Lana; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Services and burial were private. Memorial contributions are suggested to Parkinson's Foundation of Western PA, 3468 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

James Williams
James Williams died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond Williams and his wife Patricia of Downingtown, PA; 16 nieces and nephews, William Kristoff, Robert Kristoff and his wife Camille, Janice Kirk and her husband David, Kathryn Musser and her husband Hans, Marianne Kappas and her husband Keith, Richard Ramell and his wife Anne, Judith Minner and her husband William, John Williams and his wife Wendy, Lynda Benson and her husband Tim, Karen Cook and her husband Steve, Keith Williams and his wife Kathy Herman, Thomas Williams, Mary Beth Morris and her husband Coleman, Michael Williams and his wife Rebecca, David Williams and his wife Caroline and Jennifer Truss and her husband Scott; and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde R. and Janet Curley Williams; and two sisters, Mary Jane Kristoff and Kathryn A. Ramell.
Friends were received in the vestibule of St. Cyril of Alexandria Church prior to the funeral mass. Memorials are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Arrangements were made by O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side.

Jean Gibson
Jean Stroup Gibson, 97, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Roy R. Gibson, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth A. Bauer of Palm Harbor, FL; and two nephews, Robert Stroup of Harborcreek, PA and Richard Stroup of Evans City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Mary Campbell Stroup; and her brother, R. Ardell Stroup.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Friday.
