Eleanor Dvorsky
Eleanor H. Herstich Dvorsky, 82, of Ross Township, wife of the late Joseph A. Dvorsky, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
Mrs. Dvorsky retired as a nurse from Suburban General Hospital where she worked for 20 years. She was a member of St. Gabriel Parish and Risen Lord Church.
She is survived by seven children, Joseph D. Dvorsky and Rege Dvorsky and his wife Jeanne Leone, all of Laurel, MD, Ellie Dvorsky and her husband Dr. John Metcalf of Bradford Woods, James Dvorsky and his wife Christine of McCandless Township, Anita M. Gazze and her husband Frank "Jim" of Greensburg, Paul F. Dvorsky and his wife Barbara of West Deer and Camille A. Kersey and her husband Kris of Ross Township; 17 grandchildren, Lindsay and Brian Orr, Alex and David Grant, Christopher, Matthew, Timothy and Zachary Gazze, Ariel, Joseph, Benjamin, Gregory, Nicholas, Camille, Jenna, Nicolette and Kelly Dvorsky; and six great-grandchildren, Addison, Avery, Hollen, Mabel and Analis Orr and Thomas Grant. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Stanley Herstich, Jennie Casciani and Regina Dvorsky.
Friends were received at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Risen Lord Church on Saturday.

Betty Hasley
Betty C. Hasley of the Village of Hampton Fields, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Samuel Hasley, died Thursday, June 23, 2011.
Mrs. Hasley was a 1939 graduate of Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing, and worked at Allegheny General for seven years. She served from 1946 until her retirement in 1979 as a registered nurse for the Federal Reserve Bank in the Pittsburgh-Cleveland branch. She was a member of Allegheny General Nurses Alumni Association, the 25 Year Club of the Federal Reserve Bank, the North Boroughs Women’s Club and Northminster Presbyterian Church in Bellevue.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Harry K. Floyd of White Oak; and three nieces, four nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. and Miriam E. Smith Coleman; and three siblings, Harold E. Coleman, Genevieve L. Floyd and Margaret L. Floyd.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Monday. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church at 45 N. Fremont Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.

Louis Mertz Jr.
Louis E. Mertz Jr., 94, of Kilbuck Township died Friday, June 24, 2011.
Mr. Mertz was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Florence L. Mertz; seven children, Edward Mertz and his wife Carol, Ruth McDonald and her husband Robert, Kay Welsh and her husband Bill, Marilyn Mertz, Paulette Leskowat and her husband Jeff, Karen Moore and her husband Tom and Eric Mertz and his wife Linda; three siblings, Donald Mertz, Jean Scarazzo and Carol Miller; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three siblings, George Mertz, Arthur Mertz and Genevieve Gross.
Friends were received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Ross Township. A funeral service was held in North Hills Alliance Church on Wednesday. Elizabeth Webber
Elizabeth "Betty" Hazelton Webber, 90, of Emsworth, died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Masonic Village in Sewickley.
A memorial service was held in the Star Point building at Masonic Village. Memorial donations are suggested to Doctors Without Borders or the American Heart Association. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Mark Trimmer
Mark Paul Trimmer, 33, of Bellevue, formerly of Coraopolis, died Monday, June 20, 2011.
Mr. Trimmer was a 1995 graduate of Cornell High School. He served for two years in the U.S. Army and then worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a longtime coach for the Bellevue-Avalon Baseball Association (BABA).
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Trimmer; three sons, Mark Wilson, Darion Trimmer and Anthony Trimmer; his parents, Mark and JoAnn Vernocy Trimmer; two sisters, Jennifer DeVito and Lynn Litzinger; three nieces; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Nellie Vernocy and Earl and Dora Trimmer.
Friends were received at Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis, on Friday. Burial was in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with military honors. Donations are suggested to Colleen Trimmer, c/o Dan Sadler, president of BABA, 1020 Hamilton Ave., Avalon, PA 15202.

Christopher Driscoll
Christopher Brion Driscoll, 55, of Bellevue, died Friday, June 17, 2011.
He is survived by his son, Nicolas A. Bach and his wife Amanda; three brothers, Erich, Jeffrey A. and his wife Barbara and Matthew J. Driscoll and his wife Carrie A.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Heidi Driscoll; and his brother, Richard Driscoll.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side, until the time of services on Thursday.

Elizabeth Frawley
Elizabeth A. "Liz" Frawley, 48, of Bellevue, died Friday, June 24, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Aedyn Frawley; her mother, Sylvia Frawley; three brothers, Michael Frawley and his wife Tammy, Mark Frawley and Ryan Frawley Sr. and his wife Kris; his nephew, Ryan Frawley Jr.; two nieces, Hannah and Emily Frawley; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Frawley.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a blessing service was held on Friday.

Mary Herman
Mary M. Kelly Herman, 82, of Avalon, formerly of Brighton Heights, died Sunday, June 26, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery James Herman.
There was no visitation. A blessing service was held in T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, Ross, on Tuesday. Contributions are suggested to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

Charlie Kellem
Charlie Richard Kellem of Brighton Heights died Monday, June 27, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Joycie Kellem; two sons, Joel Richard Kellem Sr. and his wife Laurie and Chaz Kellem; two siblings, Katherine Skinner and Thomas Kellem; two grandchildren, Joel Richard Kellem Jr. and Jada Kellem; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Spriggs and Watson Funeral Home, East End, where services were held on Thursday. Burial was in Allegheny Cemetery.

Lillian Shannon
Lillian Vaughn Shannon, infant, of Richland Township, died Sunday, June 26, 2011.
She is survived by her parents, Raviv E. and Amber V. Hillenbrand Shannon; two brothers, Caleb Andrew and Jacob Alexander Shannon; her grandparents, David P. and Kimberly V. Hillenbrand and Andrew W. and Jill I. Shannon; her great-grandparents, Patricia M. Hillenbrand, Warren A. and Glenora V. Carr and William Shannon; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elijah David Shannon.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View. Funeral services were held in Christ Church at Grove Farm on Wednesday.
