Lawrence Conte
Lawrence A. Conte, 94, of Bellevue, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Conte; two sisters, Anne and Angela; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in North Hills Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Lillian Stevens
Lillian M. "Toots" Stevens, 95, of Oakmont, formerly of Emsworth and wife of the late Kenneth Stevens, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010.
She is survived by three children, Ruth Gee, Jean Scott and her husband Richard and Richard Stevens and his wife Gloria; four grandchildren, Janice Nash and her husband Bill, Carolyn Funk and her husband Tom, Eric Scott and his wife Michale and Matthew Stevens and his wife Krista; seven great-grandchildren, Jason and his wife Amy, Steven and his wife Amy, Adam, Kevin, Noah, Blake and Bailey; and two great-great-grandchildren, Shane and Landon. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Byron Gee.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Harmarville. Memorials are suggested to Presbyterian Senior Care Benevolent Fund, 1215 Hulton Rd., Oakmont, PA 15139.

Marietta Cammarata
Marietta V. Venturella Cammarata, 93, of Ross Township, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Angelo Cammarata; four children, Charles Cammarata of Ohio Township, Maryan Cronin of Poland, OH, Frank Cammarata and John Cammarata, both of Ross Township; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Angela and Lucia Naples.
Friends were received at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Teresa of Avila Church on Monday.

Deanna Bartek
Deanna "De" Grace Bartek, 16, of Ross Township, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010.
She is survived by her parents, Philip and Jean Sporrer Bartek; her brother, Russel A. Bartek; her maternal grandparents, John L. and B. Joan Sporrer; six aunts and uncles, Tami Watson and her husband Andy, Heidi Hodder and her husband Tom, Vee Jay Bartek, Frederic Bartek, Elmer Bartek and his wife Judi and Barbara Wilson and her husband Robert; and cousins, grandaunts and granduncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elmer and Victoria Bartek.

Lawrence Abate
Lawrence R. Abate, 78, of Moon Twp. died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010.
Mr. Abate was retired from the US Postal Service South Hills branch. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the McKeesport Garden Club and the Rose Society. He enjoyed golfing and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Lucci Abate; three children, Rachelle Cosmides and her husband John of Ohio Township., Suzanne Miller and her husband Martin of Cranberry and Christopher Lucci and his wife Carrie of Murrysville; two sisters, Mary Jane and her husband James of Testa, FL and Marge Sculli and her husband Otto of Valencia, PA; six grandchildren, Hans and his wife Sarah, Eric, Mandi, Anna, Adam and Olivia; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Abate; and two brothers, Fran and William Abate.
Friends were received at Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Moon Township. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Margaret Mary Church on Tuesday. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Wilbur Hall
Wilbur C. "Bill" Hall, 83, of Avalon, formerly of Ross Township, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010.
Mr. Hall was an artist and enjoyed traveling. He was a display manager in the men's department of Kaufmann's department store for more than 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mitzi H. Fuchs Hall; two children, Susan D. Hall and her husband Daniel Keravich and Mark R. Hall and his wife Debbie; and four grandchildren, John and Kristen Keravich and Lauren and Brittany Hall. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Hall.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View, where services were held on Tuesday.

Gus Tsantes
Gus Anthony Tsantes, 80, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010.
Mr. Tsantes was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked at J&L Steel for 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Grace Tsantes; four children, Janet Luther and her husband Ron, Kathy Schilling and her husband Gregg, Michelle Dantzler and her husband Dario and Mark Tsantes; his sister, Annamae Belczyk; nine grandchildren, Melinda, Brittany, Chelsea, Jacob, Zane, Samantha, Michael, Lyndsey and Vanessa; and eight nieces and nephews, Jackie, Anthony, Linda, Joseph, Bobby, Terry, Tracey and Tommy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Sokolowski; and his sister-in-law, Mary Getz and her husband Frank.
Services were private. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Bessie Colaizzi
Bessie J. Colaizzi, 91, of Ross Township, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Herman Colaizzi, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010.
Mrs. Colaizzi was a member of the ISDA and enjoyed playing bingo, the casino and playing cards.
She is survived by four children, Marie Topper, Phyllis Maier and her husband Ron, Vincent Colaizzi and his wife Sue and Roseann Boylan and her husband Dave; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine siblings. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gene Topper.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Vincentian Home or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

John Higgins
John M. Higgins, 79, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010.
He is survived by two sons, John F. and James P. Higgins; two siblings, Sr. Ursula Higgins of Mt. Alvernia and Terence Higgins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Theresa Vida Higgins; and two brothers, Robert and Thomas Higgins.
A memorial service will be held in Epiphany Church, 164 Washington Pl., Pittsburgh, on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.
