James Joseph Kania
James Joseph Kania, 59, of Bellevue, died Thursday, June 1, 2017.
He was the son of Elizabeth “Betty” (Hay) Kania and the late Joseph J. Kania; father of James Joseph Kania, Jr. and Jason Willett; brother of John Kania and JoAnn Davis; uncle of Joseph and Joshua Kania, Jesse and Jacob Davis.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, motorcycles, woodworking and NASCAR. He was retired from the US Postal Service after 20 years.

Todd M. Riale
Todd M. Riale, 51, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Port Allegany, PA, died unexpectedly, Sunday, June 4, 2017.
Born October 1, 1965, in Port Allegany, he was a son of John A. and Beverly J. Turner Riale. On Oct. 19, 2002, he married Lynn Nixon, who survives.
Todd was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1984.
He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Aleppo, PA. He was an avid gardener and chef. He enjoyed basketball and tinkering with his car, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Lynn, are two daughters, Stella R. Riale of Pittsburgh, Lacey L. Riale of Port Allegany; three stepsons, Zane H., Luke T. and Wyatt O. Travis all of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Molly and Joshua Hardes; a brother, Randy J. “Wally” (Lorrie) Riale of Port Allegany; a sister, Sharon L. (Martin) Rosenswie of Port Allegany; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey W. Bricker of Port Allegany, and a sister-in-law, Susan N. McGinnity of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Karen Bricker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

LaVerne Keller Lanich
LaVerne Keller Lanich, 100, of Masonic Village in Sewickley, formerly of Wilkinsburg, East Liberty and Bellevue, died Sunday, June 4, 2017.
She was the wife of the late James Vincent Lanich, who passed away in 1997.
Surviving are her step-daughter, Barbara Gascoine of Monroeville, first cousins, Robert Brunk of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Richard Brunk of Florida and Betty Brunk, and her second cousin Jan Berlan of the Masonic Village, also three step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
LaVerne was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School class of 1935 and worked in the accounting Department at H.J. Heinz and General Motors, retiring from General Motors. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church, East Liberty and Greenstone United Methodist Church, Avalon, and was very active in the Methodists Women's Ministry.
There was no visitation and entombment was private at Allegheny Cemetery, in the Temple of Memories Mausoleum.

Marjorie J. DeCoursey
Marjorie J. DeCoursey, 87, of Masonic Village, formerly of Emsworth and Edinboro, died Saturday, June 3, 2017.
She was the wife of the late Joseph E. DeCoursey; mother of Kathy (James) O’Donavan, Carol Holman, Patty (Martin) Westfall, Kimberly (James) Graff and Barbara (late Jerry) Westerman; sister of Edward Loedding and the late Rosemary Churman and Henry Loedding.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Eric Holman.
Service and interment were private.
