Rosemarie Schuchman
Rosemarie Rebel Schuchman, 85, of Avalon, formerly of Ohio Township, died Friday, May 27, 2011.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Schuchman and his wife Arlene and John Schuchman and his wife Barbara; two siblings, Sr. Myron and Carol Beck; two grandchildren, Paul Ross and Sarah Ross Schuchman; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Scarbough, William, John and Edward Rebel.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary Church in Glenfield.

Albert Crossland
Albert Watson Crossland, 90, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Mr. Crossland was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the Air Transport command. He worked at US Steel, Ambridge plant, and was a member of the Masons, Loyal Order of the Moose and Little Hill United Methodist Church in Franklin Park.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Crossland; two daughters, Janet Grey Crossland and Carol C. Leister; two granddaughters, Christine Leister and Megan L. Bever; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron Crossland and Alice Eliza Henry; his stepfather, Robert Henry; his brother, Robert P. Henry; and his niece, Barbara Schaffner.
A celebration of life service will be held in Little Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m. Donations are suggested to his church at P.O. Box 56, Sewickley, PA 15143. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Anna Nickel
Anna Mary "Buechel" Nickel, 96, of Emsworth, wife of the late George C. Nickel, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Satriano; two grandchildren, Drew Satriano and his wife Corrine and Dawn Gunnett and her husband Keith; and four great-grandchildren, Marco and Tessa Satriano and Luke and Sara Gunnett. She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Nickel.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Wednesday. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Mt. Troy Road.

Lawrence Snyder
Lawrence F. Snyder, 75, of Bellevue and McKees Rocks, died Saturday, May 28, 2011.
Mr. Snyder had been a U.S. Marine and a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than 22 years of service as a flight engineer. He enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Greco Snyder; his daughter, Sandra Tadda; six siblings, Bob, Sandy, Linda, Susan, Cheryl and Debbie; and three grandchildren, Gregory, Cierra and Cassandra Tadda. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don.
Military honors and burial were private at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Donations are suggested to a favorite charity. Arrangements were made by Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View.

Nancy Dauenhauer
Nancy Bradshaw Scott McKula Dauenhauer of Avalon, wife of the late August P. McKula and Arthur J. Dauenhauer, died Monday, May 30, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen McKula of Connecticut and Audrey Ensminger of Avalon; her brother, Rev. John M. Scott of West Middletown, PA; two grandchildren, Annie Ensminger and Rob Ensminger, both of Avalon; and her Jack Russell terrier, "Sparky." She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Reatha Scott; and two siblings, Olive "Toos" Hughes and Robert W. Scott.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Funeral services were held in Greenstone United Methodist Church, Avalon, on Thursday. Burial was in Deer Creek United Presbyterian Cemetery, West Deer Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Lillian Hodder
Lillian Hodder, 86, of Cranberry Township, wife of the late Floyd Hodder, died Monday, May 30, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters, Lillian "Lin" Strous and her husband Ed and Patricia Hodder and her partner Brenda Krieger; her brother, Bill Ball and his wife Agnes; two grandchildren, Greg Engel and his wife Marian and Barbara Moeller and her husband Glenn; three great-grandchildren, Erika Moeller, Magen Engel and Evan Moeller; her sister-in-law, Harriet Morton; nieces and nephews; and dear friends, the Posse family.
A memorial service was held Friday, June 3, at 1 p.m., in Bellevue United Presbyterian Church. Donations are suggested to pinkribbonroundup.org Arrangements were made by Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Blawnox.
