Shirley Dunbar
Shirley L. Jones Dunbar of Brighton Heights, wife of the late William L. Dunbar Jr., died Monday, May 17, 2010.
She is survived by three children, William L. Dunbar III and his wife Janice, Debra A. Walker and Daniel D. Dunbar and his wife Christine; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
There was no visitation and services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side.

Laura Gibb
Laura "Loretta" Gibb of Ross Township, wife of the late William Gibb, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
She is survived by her cousin, Arthur Fennell; seven nieces and nephews, Lori Staiger, Linda Kreiger, George, Bruce, Ronald, Keith and Neal Sens; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; and nine great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Jennie B. Schwab.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Saturday.

Barbara Hruneni
Barbara Ann Hurray Hruneni, 74, of Kilbuck Township, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Donald S. Hruneni; three children, Michele Ann Frew and her husband James of Bellevue, Renee A. Bell and her husband Robert of Kent Island, MD and Kurt D. Hruneni and his wife Kari of Midlothian, VA; eight grandchildren, Adam Frew, Rena Buckley and her husband Michael, Ashley Ambrass and her husband Tim, Bryan Johnson and his wife Jamie Aversa, Angela Johnson and her husband Tony DiGiacomo, Sally Johnson, Allison Crawford and her husband Devin and Christopher Hruneni; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. and Anna Hurray; and her sister, Judith Hurray.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary Church, Glenfield, on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Gerarda Fegula
Gerarda "Jerry" Fegula of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Michael J. Fegula, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010.
Mrs. Fegula was a member of the 55 Club and the 27th Ward Senior Center.
She is survived by two children, Roseann Fegula and Kenneth Fegula; two grandchildren, Michael Fegula and Chrissy Ford; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Kasper; and seven siblings, Rose, Frances, Rita, Irene, Joseph, Edward and Paul.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Monday.

Mary Lou Irving
Mary Lou Irving of Emsworth died Friday, May 21, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Irving; two children, Susan G. Gerdes and her husband Charles of Ben Avon and Robert G. Irving Jr. and his wife Kristen of Harrisburg, PA; her sister, Edythe Frazee of Ross Twp.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Funeral services were held in North Hills Alliance Church, Franklin Park, on Monday.

Eleanore Lechowicz
Eleanore M. Zendarski Lechowicz, 93, of Richmond, VA, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Victor Lechowicz, died Monday, May 17, 2010.
Mrs. Lechowicz was a graduate of Mt. Mercy College, now Carlow College. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II where she earned the rank of sergeant. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Bellevue, and had served as regent. She volunteered in the Women's Auxiliary of Suburban General Hospital and also was a member of the Polish Arts League of Pittsburgh, Polish American Society of Virginia, VFW Auxiliary Post in Mechanicsville, VA and an honorary initiate of Chi Omega Sorority.
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Blough and her husband Marty of Richmond, Bobbie Freitag and her husband Bob of Pittsford, NY and Margie Lechowicz and her husband Rick Lazzari of Aurora, IL; two siblings, Anne Barone of Cheswick, PA and Fred Zendarski of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren, Kristina and Jeffrey Blough, Gregory and Emily Freitag and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on Wednesday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Ann Church Haiti Fund, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland, VA 23005, Women's Memorial Foundation, Washington, DC or a favorite charity.

Walter Lewan
Walter Lewan, 80, of Avalon, formerly of Glassport, died Sunday, May 23, 2010.
Mr. Lewan was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a long-haul trucker for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Lewan; two children, Steven Lewan and his wife Jacki of Bellevue and Stephanie and her husband Jim of Robinson Township; and four grandchildren, Jimmy, Brianna, James and Amanda.
Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Blawnox.

Joan McCune
June Irene Yankovic McCune, 54, of Cranberry Township, died Monday, May 24, 2010.
Mrs. McCune worked at Medserv Plus as a business manager.
She is survived by her husband, Brian McCune; her daughter, Shannon E. Kelly and her husband Greg; four siblings, Len Yankovic and his wife Erin of Hopewell Township, Jack Yankovic of Munhall, Carol Borriello and her husband Gus of Export and Eileen Finley and her husband Butch of Cranberry Township; her grandson, Max Kelly; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Linda Icenhour; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Yankovic.
A memorial service will be held in the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, on Saturday, June 5, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Marian Hall Home, 934 Forest Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15202.

Helen Puciata
Helen M. Stampfl Puciata, 93, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Charles J. Puciata, died Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Mrs. Puciata was a member of the first graduating class at St. Cyril of Alexandria School.
She is survived by two sons, Charles J. Puciata and David J. Puciata and his wife Jean; two siblings, Christine Golden and Leonard Stampfl; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas M. Puciata; her parents, Matt and Magdalene Stampfl; and her brother, Matthew Stampfl.
There was no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Friday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

Pauline White
Pauline R. White of Ross Township, wife of the late Kenneth White, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
Mrs. White had been a telephone operator at Bell Telephone since World War II.
She is survived by two children, Genanine Oglesby and Kenwyn Theobald and her husband Glenn; and her grandson, Sean Keilich. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Bernadette Cullen, Bernard Micklos, Ronald Micklos, Norbert Micklos and Joseph Micklos.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Friday.
