Craig Dickson
Craig Bruce Dickson, 63, of Emsworth, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Mr. Dickson was a 1970 graduate of Avonworth High School. He enjoyed music, cars, motorcycles and a good cheeseburger.
He is survived by his partner, Jeanne McMahan and her daughter, Lesley Allison and her husband Harry; and his brother, Joel Dickson and his wife Carolyn.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West Station Square Dr., #1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

Sr. M. Magdalene Lovrich
Sr. M. Magdalene "Mary" Lovrich, OSF, 94, of Mt. Assisi Convent Motherhouse, died Thursday, May 21, 2015.
Sr. Magdalene was a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis of the U.S. Province in her 75th year. She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Carlow University, majoring in math and minoring in English and Latin. She earned a master of arts degree in education at Duquesne University, majoring in English, and completed post-master's work in secondary school administration at Duquesne University. She taught elementary school for one year and then in Central Catholic High School in Allentown, PA, Mt. Assisi Academy in Pittsburgh and Mon-Valley High School in Monongahela. She was Mt. Assisi Academy principal 1954-1970 and taught English, Latin and math. She was a member of many organizations.
She is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Bailey of Land O'Lakes, FL and Anna Tuskan of Marian Hall; five nieces and nephews, Jerome Tuskan, Ron Tuskan, Dennis Bailey, Regina Rinderer and Rosemary Pascia; and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Agnes Slujnski Lovrich; and her brother, Thomas Lovrich.
Friends were received at Mt. Assisi Convent. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Queen of Angels Chapel on Tuesday. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home,Bellevue.

Lorenzo Merlina
Lorenzo Albert Merlina died Monday, May 18, 2015.
He is survived by his parents, Heather Maruscak and Vincent F. Merlina; his brother, Giovanni; his grandparents, Mercedes McCarthy, Albert Maruscak, Vincent and Grace Merlina; his great-grandfather, Michael McCarthy; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Barbara McCarthy, Dolores and Albert Maruscak, Anne and Frank Merlina and Grace Lennon.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Children was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Stefanie Haller
Stefanie Joy Haller, 33, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Friday, May 22, 2015.
Ms. Haller was a dancer and artist. She was a 2004 graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in graphic design. She worked in Manhattan in New York City as a print advertising lead designer. She moved to Chicago and worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In 2013, she became a yoga instructor.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron A. Buchner; her parents, Robert C. and Susan M. Roman Haller; two brothers, Charles R. Haller and Nathan R. Haller; her grandfather, Lawrence "Pap" Haller; three aunts, Marilyn Roman Pfeil, Carol A. Roman and Nancy J. Haller Fethl; her uncle, James R. Haller; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jane "Bubba" Ferguson Haller, Marion E. Rimlinger Roman and Charles R. Roman.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Thursday. Memorial donations are suggested to Family House at Shadyside Hospital.

John Miller
John G. "Jack" Miller of Bellevue, husband of the late Betty Menigat Miller, died Monday, May 25, 2015.
Mr. Miller was retired from H.J. Heinz Co. with 41 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by seven children, Larry Miller and his wife Patti, Rev. Robert J. Miller, Carol Heil and her husband Roy, Marty Miller, Paul Miller and his wife Jackie, Elizabeth McGuire and her husband Brendan and Patrick Miller and his wife Tina; his brother, Thomas F. Miller and his wife Ginny of Kennedy Township; 15 grandchildren, Sarah and her husband D.J., Brad, Eric and his wife Amanda, Garrett and his wife Sawyer, Dan, Justin, Brian, Julie, Katie, Martin, Jack, Patrick, Mia, Nina and Nicholas; a great-granddaughter, Halle; pap pap to Ian, Danielle and AJ; a dear friend, Patte Hollenberger; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.F. and Helen Purcell Miller.

Clara Hickly
Clara A. Hickly, 96, of the North Side, died Monday, May 25, 2015.
Ms. Hickly worked at Morgan's Cleaners in Bellevue for more than 40 years. She was a 1937 graduate of Oliver High School and still met with alumni for luncheon regularly. She was a member of Risen Lord Church.
She is survived by three nephews, William Hickly and his wife Joan, Robert Hickly and Donald Hickly; and grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her niece, Diane Hickly.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Friday, in Risen Lord Church at 9:30 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Rose Ann Hoehle
Rose Ann Londino Hoehle of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Earl Hoehle and Louis E. Londino, died Monday, May 25, 2015.
She is survived by two children, Louis F. Londino and his wife Carmela and Rochelle M. Miljus; four siblings, Georgianna DePhillips, James, Ernest and Louis Guerra; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph L.; her parents, Frank and Anna Rose Guerra; and seven siblings, Dominick, Joseph, Sam, Eugene, William and Anthony Guerra and Teresa Ranieri.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass will be held on Friday in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church at 9:30 a.m. Donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Edward Kurtz Sr.
Edward W. Kurtz Sr., 81, of Emsworth, died Monday, May 25, 2015.
Mr. Kurtz was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte A. Hunt Kurtz; 10 children, Amy Repp and her husband Chip, Alexis Florida and her husband Jim, Ed Kurtz Jr., Ruth Price and her husband Steve Ashley, Susan Wray and her husband Bill, Janice Barnett and her husband Tim, Matthew Kurtz and his wife Shannon, Bill Kurtz and his wife Stephanie, Tom Kurtz and Annette Dyga and her husband Alex; his sister, Betty Schultz; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Zajac.

Delores Zabawsky
Delores M. Zabawsky, 85, of Avalon, died Friday, May 22, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Zabawsky; three children, Sandy DePauw and her husband Andy of San Diego, CA, Steve Zabawsky and his wife Suzanne of Chicago, IL and Joe Zabawsky and his wife Sorojini of Somerset, PA; and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Joey, Jeffrey, Zachary, Cameron and Trinity; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen Viglotti and Lee Constance Reed; her stepfather, John Reed; and her sister, Dorothy J. Mosberger.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services will be held today, Friday, at noon. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

William J. Hudspeth Jr.
William J. Hudspeth Jr., 30, of Emsworth, died unexpectedly on May 21, 2015.
Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles and repairing automobiles.
He was the son of William J. Sr. and Elizabeth (Fitch) Hudspeth; also survived by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Fitch; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends were received on Tuesday, May 26, at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc., Avalon. Services and interment were private.
