Paul Hudgins
Paul D. "Bubba" Hudgins, 63, of Avalon, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Mr. Hudgins was a member of Union Local #12 Sheet Metal Workers and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Andrews Hudgins; four children, Tracy Smallwood and her husband Kevin, Cassie Hudgins, Ashleigh Hudgins Dougherty and Michael Hudgins; five siblings, James Hudgins and his wife Brenda, Linda Vaden and her husband Phil, Wanda Harrell and her husband Raymond, Brenda Dumas and Diane Harper and her husband Mitchell; six grandchildren, Rian and Hayleigh Dougherty, Johnny, Taylor and Charles Smallwood and Tatiana Hudgins. He was the brother-in-law of John Andrews and his wife Ann, Donald Andrews and his wife Debra and Lisa Dehart and her husband Tom; dear friends, Jimmy and Karen Cook; and leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Services were held Monday in Emanuel Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.

Donna Hurst
Donna G. Hurst, 69, of Bellevue died Saturday, May 11, 2013.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Ott and her husband Ray of Avalon; and her aunt, Lenora "Babe" Bauer of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents, John and Stella Ban.
There was no visitation. A blessing service was held in Mt. Nazareth Holy Family Manor Chapel, West View, on Saturday. Donations are suggested to the Sisters of the Holy Family, 301 Bellevue Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Roselyn Kolarich
Roselyn C. "Rosie" Weiss Kolarich, 84, of Stowe Township, formerly of Emsworth and wife of the late Louis F. Kolarich, died Monday, May 13, 2013.
Mrs. Kolarich owned and operated Rosie's Truck Stop for more than 30 years.
She is survived by four children, Judy Shevlin, Beverly Roberts and her husband David, Linda Tetro and her husband Renee and David Klingingsmith; her sister, Mary Shevlin and her husband Larry; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anna, Kevin and Jacob; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Wessie, Elizabeth, Irene, Joseph and Carol.
There was no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Malachy Church on Saturday. Burial was in St. Mark Cemetery, Kennedy Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to Celtic Healthcare, 150 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046. Arrangements were made by Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, McKees Rocks.

Lucille Haddow
Lucille "Mary Lou" Haddow, 86, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Charles S. Haddow, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
She is survived by six children, Raymond Yakelis and his wife Miriam, Edward Yakelis and his wife Joanne, Barbara Yakelis, Susan Kortz and her husband Bernard, Judith LaBella and Christina Thornton and her husband John; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, John "Jack" Pachuta and his wife Eleanore.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where services were held on Monday. Memorials are suggested to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.

Margaret Carr
Margaret Elizabeth O'Donnell Carr, 97, wife of the late Joseph H. Carr, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Mrs. Carr was a graduate of Avonworth grade school and high school. She attended the University of Pittsburgh with a senatorial scholarship and graduated in 1937. She worked as a student secretary to the legendary football coach Jock Sutherland. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a teacher at Annunciation grade school and St. Cyril of Alexandria grade school as well as other North Side Catholic and public schools. She was the lone female winner in a contest to name the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1940. She was an avid reader and worked the New York Times crossword puzzles and enjoyed card playing and travel. She also was a longtime member of St. Cyril's 55 Club and a volunteer at many activities.
She is survived by five sons, Hugh and his wife Sylvia of Mt. Lebanon, Joseph and his wife Marilyn of Valarico, FL, John and his wife Maureen of Engelwood, CA, Daniel and his wife Nancy of Franklin Park and Timothy; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, 1st Lt. Dennis Carr; her parents, John and Mary Barry O'Donnell; and seven siblings, Sarah (Sr. Joseph Mary), Maureen, John "Jay," James, Teresa Simpson, Timothy and Mary Virginia.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Friday. Contributions are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or St. Cyril of Alexandria School Fund.

Eve Peterson
Eve D. Peterson, 72, of Kilbuck Township, died Sunday, May 12, 2013.
Mrs. Peterson was a 1958 graduate of Avonworth High School. She worked as a management consultant and in training for Lloyds Bank in California. She founded and directed Professional Referral Exchange in Pittsburgh, a multi-state networking organization, for 20 years.
She is survived by her stepmother, Claire T. Wilwohl; three brothers, Stephen, Scott and Jeffrey Wilwohl; dear friend, Dr. Patrick Williams; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David Sye; and her parents, John Albert and Claire Dietrich Wilwohl.
Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Betty Jane Robertson
Betty Jane "B.J." Robertson, 92, of Emsworth, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
She is survived by cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgetta Ray Hillwig Robertson; and her sister, Virginia Lee Neky.
A memorial service will be held in Emsworth United Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church at 73 Hiland Ave., Emsworth, PA 15202. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Ann Geiger
Ann Szkabara Geiger, 66, of Brighton Heights, died Saturday, May 18, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Geiger; two sons, Dave and his wife Shelley and D.J. And his wife Molly; two siblings, Steve Szkabara and his wife Rose and Kathy Palmer and her husband Ralph; six grandchildren, J.P., Britainy, Trinity, McKenzie, McKayla and Bella; her brother-in-law, Joe Geiger and his wife Ruth; nieces and nephews; three dogs, Kelley, Lovie and Goldie; and her car, Shorty. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Szkabara.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. Funeral services were held in St. George Ukrainian Church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Helen Lee
Helen Kenny Lee, 88, of Bellevue, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, John L. "Jack" Lee Sr.; her son, John L. Lee Jr.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, John Kenny, Bernadette Cisor and Elizabeth Kenny.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday.
