David Galvin
David W. Galvin of Butler, PA died Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Fay Tegge Galvin; three siblings, Patricia Crawford and her husband Edward, Timothy J. Galvin and his wife Debbie of GA and James T. Galvin of Bethel Park; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy A. Galvin.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Saturday.

Elizabeth Kenny
Elizabeth T. Kenny, 89, of Bellevue, died Thursday, May 13, 2010.
Ms. Kenny was a 1938 graduate of St. Francis de Salles High School and the Business Training College of Pittsburgh. She retired from the Port Authority after 46 years of service.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Kenny Lee and her husband Jack; four nephews, John L. Lee Jr., Louis J. Cisar Jr., John T. and Thomas J. Kenny; and her niece, Rita Marie Kenny. She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Bessie Quinn Kenny; and two siblings, Bernadette Kenny Cisar and John M. Kenny III.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, McKees Rocks.

Stephania Barshowski
Stephania "Stella" Barshowski, 94, of Brighton Heights died Saturday, May 15, 2010.
She is survived by two brothers, Joseph and David Barshowski and his wife Orysia; and aunt of Donald and Nancy. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Barshowski; and four brothers, Michael, Alexander, Frank and John Barshowski.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral service was held in St. George Ukrainian Church on Tuesday. Contributions are suggested to her church.
Rose Martini
Rose Busin Martini of Ross Topwnship., wife of the late James J. Martini, died Sunday, May 16, 2010.
She is survived by three children, James A. Martini and his wife Joyce, Peggy Costello and her husband Chuck and Rose Marie Vicek; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Charles Vicek.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Wednesday.

Joseph Ponteri Sr.
Joseph A. Ponteri Sr., 93, of Cranberry Township, died Saturday, May 15, 2010.
Mr. Ponteri was retired as a self-employed accountant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a former member of Cranberry Lions Club, Knights of Columbus Bellevue Chapter #1400 and the ISDA.
He is survived by his wife, Antonette Benvenuto Ponteri; his daughter, Celeste Bullian and her husband Joseph of Cranberry; his sister, Elvera Steinmiller of Avalon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph A. Ponteri Jr.; and four siblings, Earl and Daniel Ponteri, Catherine Quinn and Josephine Scotti.
Friends were received at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Ferdinand Church on Wednesday.

Sophie Reft
Sophie Kostek Reft, 87, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Joseph Reft, died Friday, May 14, 2010.

Mrs. Reft was retired from Fisher Scientific Co. She enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by five children, Dolores "Dolly" Rodocker of Mt. Washington, David Reft and his wife Teri of Garland, TX, Janet Hornick and her husband Richard of Warner Robins, GA, Robert "Bob" Reft of Bellevue and Michael Reft and his wife Jean of Mt. Washington; three siblings, Michael Kostek, Mary Gunning and Olga Walko; seven grandchildren, Steven and Kevin Reft and his wife Jessica of TX, Anthony "Tony" Hornick of GA, Bryan and Derek of Mt. Washington, Melanie and her husband Aaron and Ryan of TX; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Grace Reft and Ryann and Mason McKinney, all of TX; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Anna Palashoff and Nick "Coach" Kostek.

Norman Snyder Jr.
Norman F. "Pap Pap" Snyder Jr., 81, of Brighton Heights died Saturday, May 15, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Kratz Snyder; two children, James L. Snyder and his wife Beth of Pittsburgh and Heather L. Bernardi and her husband Denny of Bellevue; his son-in-law, Richard Rakowich; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Rakowich; his parents, Anna C. and Norman F. Snyder Sr.; and two siblings, Edward R. Snyder and Anna Mae Nachreiner.

Mary Finney
Mary J. Jem Finney, 90, of Avalon, wife of the late Donald C. Finney, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010.

She is survived by two children, Donald C. Finney Jr. and Janet L. Finney; her sister, Clare Freebourn; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

There was no visitation. A memorial service was held in Masonic Village, Sewickley, on Thursday. Memorial contributions are suggested to MVS Employee Appreciation Fund at Masonic Village. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Susan Spirko
Susan Marie Loop Spirko, 52, of Emsworth died Sunday, May 16, 2010.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy G. Spirko; her daughter, Lisa Tripoli and her husband James of Ross Twp.; four siblings, Dennis Loop, Jeffery Loop and his wife Denise, Cindy Neil and her husband Bob and Paul Loop; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Mildred Spirko; three sisters-in-law, Midge Gilmour and her husband Mark, Cindy McIntyre and her husband Paul and Nancy Spirko; nine nieces and nephews, Leann, Milton, Bruce, Nicole, Staci, Michelle, Natalia, Sean and Maureen; and her grand-puppy, Isis.

Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. James Church, Sewickley, on Thursday.

Minnie Duffy
Minnie J. Duffy, 89, of Avalon died Monday, May 17, 2010.

She is survived by her sister, Velma Birch of Avalon; her sister-in-law, Lila Duffy; nine nieces and nephews; 18 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 13 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene Duffy; and three siblings, Irene Brown, Albert and Robert Duffy.

Services and burial were private. Memorial contributions are suggested to Avalon Public Library, 317 S. Home Ave., Avalon, PA 15202. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Antoinette Zupsic
Antoinette Birsic Zupsic, 89, of Newark, OH, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Joseph M. Zupsic, died Monday, May 17, 2010.

She is survived by six children, Teri Reese and her husband Dennis, Joseph Zupsic, Matthew Zupsic, Charles Zupsic and his wife Laurie, Christopher Zupsic and his wife Kathryn and Andrew Zupsic and his wife Karen; her sister, Virginia Ellis; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Friday. Burial was in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
