Robert Adams
Robert C. Adams, 68, of Emsworth, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Mr. Adams was a teacher and principal/administrator in the North Hills School District for 33 years. He was a local registrar for the PA Dept. of Health, Division of Vital Records for the past 18 years.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Adams; four children, Erin Joyce and her husband Mike, Sean Adams and his wife Lindsay, Ryan Adams and Megan Butsko and her husband Christopher; and eight grandchildren, Adam, Anna, Allison and Michael Joyce, Riley and Shane Adams, Benjamin and Jack Butsko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Adams, Vernon and Catherine Gallagher; his great-grandfather, Everett Edick; and dear friends, Col. Daniel Conn and Randy Buerkle.
There was no visitation. A memorial mass was held in the Church of the Assumption on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Salvation Army, 100 W. North Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or Light of Life Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 6823, 10 E. North Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Steven Ashmore
Steven Charles Ashmore, 47, of Ben Avon, formerly of Los Angeles, CA, died Monday, April 20, 2015.
Mr. Ashmore was a 1990 University of Delaware graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and ethics. He earned a master of architecture degree in 1995 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He worked as an architect in San Francisco, CA and then in Pittsburgh, where he worked at Perkins Eastman and most recently at Michael Baker. He was a coach for Odyssey of the Mind and Robotics. He enjoyed cooking, especially his cracker pizza.
He is survived by two children, Lucy Amelia and Giboney Sally Ashmore; his parents, Billy Charles and Anna Mary Priebe Ashmore of Portsmouth, VA; his sister, Serena Callahan and her husband John of West Chester, Pa; two nephews, Brendan Ashmore Callahan and Ian Michael Callahan; his cousin, Liz Lucik of Kerrville, TX; and aunts, uncles and other cousins.

Maxine Evans
Maxine Evans, 92, of Bradford Woods, PA, formerly of Ben Avon and wife of the late Robert Evans, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
She is survived by two sons, Mark and Lance Evans; and her sister, Sallie Teuteberg.
Friends were received at George A. Thoma Funeral Home,Wexford, until the time of services on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143.

Betty Waugaman
Betty D. Downs Waugaman of Bellevue died Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Mrs. Waugaman was a former member of Compassionate Friends and the Three Rivers Indian Council, where she was secretary in the 1940s. She earned her pilot's license and flew across the country. She enjoyed animals, especially her own.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin K. Waugaman; two children, Elaine E. Francolino and Carl E. Francolino Jr. and his wife Elaine M.; and her brother, Frederick "Buck" Downs. She was preceded in death by her child, Sandy Francolino; and her first husband, Carl E. Francolino Sr.
Services were private. Memorials are suggested to Animal Friends, 569 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or a favorite charity. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Florence Taylor
Florence M. Taylor, 95, of Emsworth, wife of the late Richard Taylor, died Sunday, April 26, 2015.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Meyer and her husband Bob, Patty Taylor and Linda Cunningham and her husband Kelly; four grandchildren, Kelli and Tim Meyer, Cortney and Ciarra Cunningham; and her niece, Claire Barron and her husband Jack. She was preceded in death by her sister, Iona Beatty.
A celebration of life service will be held in Emsworth United Presbyterian Church in Emsworth on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. Burial was private. Donations are suggested to her church at 73 Hiland Ave., Emsworth, PA 15202. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Leslie Powers
Leslie A. Cieszynski Powers, 47, of Bellevue, died Monday, April 27, 2015.
She is survived by two children, D.J. and Conner M. Powers; her parents, Bill and Rose A. Cieszynski; her brother, David Cieszynski and his wife Michele; her niece, Madyson Cieszynski; and aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, Cindy Wooldridge and Jackie Truax.
Friends will be received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Saturday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Northgate School District, Choral Program, 591 Union Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15292 or Light of Life Rescue Mission, P.O.
