Samuel LaRocca
Samuel LaRocca, 95, of Avalon, husband of the late Mary Louise Nicolette LaRocca, died Friday, April 23, 2010.
Mr. LaRocca was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony and taught at the University of Pittsburgh and abroad.
He is survived by two sons, James LaRocca of Pittsburgh and David LaRocca of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Michael LaRocca of Pittsburgh and Louis LaRocca of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Bradd, Lauren and Abagael; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine LaMarca, Josephine LaRocca and Mildred Scotti.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Leila McGreevy
Leila B. Roe McGreevy, 98, of West Mifflin, wife of the late Robert McGreevy, died Monday, April 19, 2010.
Mrs. McGreevy was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Kalcevic and her husband David of Ben Avon, Diane Gavalik and her husband Regis of Murrysville and Roberta McGreevy and her husband Tom Moyers of West Mifflin; four grandchildren, Leslie, David, Heather and Jenny; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in Lebanon Presbyterian Church on Saturday. Arrangements were made by George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Munhall.

Edna Hughes
Edna Mae Thomas Hughes, 84, of Dana Point, CA, wife of the late Dr. George VanGilder Hughes and Gerald Edward Bumbaugh Sr., died Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Mrs. Hughes was a graduate of Bellevue High School and Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at area hospitals, including North Hills Passavant Hospital, now UPMC Passavant, from which she retired after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Geralee Bumbaugh Finney and her husband Michael of Dana Point; three stepchildren, Linda Hughes Hiser and her husband Ted, Kenneth George Hughes and Jeffrey Charles Hughes; five grandchildren, Kelly Christina Finney, Kristen Michelle Finney, Gerald Edward Bumbaugh III, Jamie Bumbaugh and Jennifer Bumbaugh; and two step-grandchildren, Aric Hughes Hiser and Garrett Bevin Hiser. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Edward Bumbaugh Jr; and her parents, John Oliver Thomas and Elizabeth "Betty" Thomas.
A memorial service was held on Monday at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Ross Township. Burial was in Allegheny County Memorial Park.

Harry Bishop
Harry C. Bishop, 83, of Ohio Township, died Friday, April 23, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Clara E. Bishop; four children, Merle G. Bishop, Wilfred Franciscus, Catherine Salm and Russell Franciscus; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Bobby Bishop.
Friends were received at Neely Funeral Home, Glenshaw, where services were held on Tuesday.

Donald Finch
Donald E. Finch, 84, of Avalon, formerly of Ohio Township and husband of the late Mary Jane Sikorski Finch, died Friday, April 23, 2010.
Mr. Finch was a member of the Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Company and a founding member of American Legion Post #866. He was employed at Duquesne Light Company for more than 35 years.
He is survived by two children, Sr. Barbara A. Finch, C.S.J. And William C. Finch; and four nieces and a nephew, Robert Farmerie, Stephanie Ulary, Christina Terry, Kelly Greene and Sunny Sneddon.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery on Tuesday.

Robert Fisher
Robert E. Fisher of Brighton Heights died Friday, April 23, 2010.
He is survived by a niece, Georgianna Weber; two nephews, Richard and George Fisher; and a dear friend, Dolores Lozer. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bill Wilhelm.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side, until the time of services on Monday.

Mary Fronczek
Mary L. Evan Fronczek, 89, formerly of Sheraden and wife of the late Edward Fronczek, died Friday, April 23, 2010.
Mrs. Fronczek retired in 1987 from the Pittsburgh Board of Education with 23 years of service at Langley High School cafeteria.
She is survived by her son, Paul Anthony Fronczek of Avalon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Evan; and two brothers, Robert Evan and Andrew Evan.
There was no visitation and burial was private. Memorial donations are suggested to a favorite charity or organization. Arrangements were made by McDermott Funeral Home, McKees Rocks.

Eileen Colburn
Eileen Jo Bovill Colburn of Naples, FL, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Monday, April 19, 2010.
Mrs. Colburn was a graduate of Adrian College in Michigan. She retired from teaching at Parkview Elementary School in Wooster, OH.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Colburn; three children, Mark and his wife Maureen of Washington, DC, Joy of Denver, CO and Faith Lewis and her husband Douglass of Chesapeake Beach, MD; two sisters, Elizabeth Steele and her husband Richard of Seattle, WA and Ollie Killen and her husband John of Sandpoint, ID; and two granddaughters, JuliAnna and Sophia.
Friends will be received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, on Saturday, May 1, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Burial will follow in Uniondale Cemetery.

Juanita Lewis
Juanita E. Lewis, 96, of McCandless, wife of the late John David Felix and Newel James Lewis, died Saturday, April 24, 2010.
Mrs. Lewis was a graduate of Emory and Henry College.
She is survived by two children, Warren Francis Felix and Mary Anita Lund; her sister, Adelaide Rush; four grandchildren, Peter Vagn Lund and his wife Natalie, Niels Christian Lund, Scott Flickinger and Kenneth LeBrie; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. Services and burial were private.

Eugenia Enzerra
Eugenia Papanu Enzerra of Avalon, wife of the late Alfred D. Enzerra, died Monday, April 26, 2010.
She is survived by four children, David J. Enzerra and his wife Susan, Donna Enzerra, Diane M. Catterall and her husband Lance and Denise Evans and his wife Tim; her brother, James Papanu; six grandchildren, Jacqueline, Lance, Michael, Brett, Nathan and Nicholas; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Dobson Papanu.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Thursday.
