Lois Thomas
Lois T. (Logue) Thomas, 83, long-time resident of Avalon, born in "Old Allegheny,” Sept. 14, 1929, passed away April 16, 2013. Lois had been a corporate executive secretary and a home maker.
She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Thomas; her parents Mary (Carroll) and Thomas J. Logue; brothers James and Thomas Logue Jr.; and sisters Vera Logue and Alice (Logue) Lang. She is survived by nephews Richard Lang, Russell (Carol) Lang, and Mark (Kim) Lang; grandnephews Matt C. (Jessica Ashmore) Lang and Brian Thomas Lang; and great-grandnephew Callum Lang. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 23, at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at the Church of the Assumption. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Alphonses Church, 201 Church St., Wexford, 15090 (724-935-1151), in recognition of Fr. Peter Murphy's timely ministration of Last Rites.

John Peters
John W. 'Jack" Peters. died Friday, April 19, age 87, of Bellevue.
He served as a tail gunner on a B-17 during World War II, as a staff sergeant, 8th Air Force, 303rd Bomb Group, and flew 35 missions during active service.
He was the husband of the late Patricia R. (Niehaus) Peters; father of Susan (David) Kremmel, and John (Joann) Peters; grandfather of Laura, Gregory and Emily Kremmel, and Elizabeth and Catherine Peters.
Friends were received Wednesday until the time of a blessing service at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., Avalon. Private family burial with full military honors will take place at a later date in St. Augustine Cemetery. Anita L. Ladesic
Anita L. (Iarussi) Ladesic died Sunday, April 21, 2013. Age 70, of Avalon, she was the wife of the late Raymond C. Ladesic; mother of Jeffery L. (Connie) Ladesic of Mogadore, OH and Douglas J. Ladesic of Avalon; sister of Anthony and Angelo Iarussi and the late Sarah Eller; grandmother of Kerry Vadasz and Gary Haines, also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends were received Thursday, April 25, at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Bellevue, where a Blessing Service was held on Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m.
