Clarence Schweitzer
Clarence A. "Al" Schweitzer, 68, of the North Side, husband of the late Dolores M. "Dee" Schweitzer, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Mr. Schweitzer was a retired credit manager from Cassidy-Pierce where he had worked for 17 years. Prior to that he worked at Westinghouse Credit for 25 years.
He is survived by four daughters, Kirsten Grech and her husband Jeffrey of Mt. Pleasant, Tina Hahn of Forest Hills, Kari DeGori and her husband Jim of Moon Township and Kylie Malack and her husband Mark of Adams Township; two siblings, Margaret Goss and Donald Schweitzer and his wife Sharon; six grandchildren, Kayla Williams, Katelyn and Lilly Grech, Jackson Hahn, Olivia and Ryan DeGori; in-laws Peggy Hochendoner and her husband Paul and Chuck Fleishaker and his wife Elaine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Emma Schwartz Schweitzer; and his brother, Fr. Robert Schweitzer.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Incarnation of the Lord Parish, North Side. Memorial contributions are suggested to Forbes Hospice, 2570 Haymaker Rd., Monroeville, PA 15146.

Olga Chickos
Olga A. Chickos, 93, of Rebecca Residence in Allison Park, formerly of Avalon, died Thursday, April 5, 2012.
She is survived by her niece, Kathryn G. Mascio; two grandnieces, Susan Schuster of Shaler and Sally Hoover of Ross Township; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Barbara Goga Chickos; six siblings, Emma Lisac, Gertrude Cain, Louis, John, William and Edward Chickos; and her niece, Dorothy Chickos Schuster.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A celebration of life service was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday. Contributions are suggested in memory of her great-grandnephew, Adam V. Schuster, Shaler Area Strings Program, Shaler Area School District, 1800 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116.

Mary Louise Roos
Mary Louise "Lou" Franz Roos, 86, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Bellevue, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Mrs. Roos was a member of St. Jude Church. She was an avid card player.
She is survived by her husband, Edmund N. Roos Jr.; three children, Diane Geheber, Brian D. Roos and his wife Barbara and Debbie R. Bennett and her husband William; her brother, Robert N. Franz; seven grandchildren, Keir Hogan, Ellen Davis, Eric Geheber, John, Mitchell, Austin and Aaron Bennett; four great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Dominique, Adena and Keirsten; and a great-great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Marie. She was preceded in death by her son, Edmund N. Roos III; her parents, Nelson and Catherine McGuire Franz; her twin brother, James E. Franz.
Friends were received at St. Jude Church, Baton Rouge, followed by a Mass of Resurrection. Burial was in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Pittsburgh. Memorial donations are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Books for Africa, her grandson's Peace Corps education project.
Carol Heyl
Carol Benkart Heyl, 73, of Avalon, wife of the late William J. Heyl, died Thursday, April 5, 2012.
She is survived by two siblings, John Benkart and Barbara Salinetro; in-laws Elaine Strobel, Robert Heyl, Marilyn Hain, Lucky Price and Buck Thoma; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Earl and Ray Benkart, Shirley Brandl and Kay Novosel.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Monday.

Randy Brown
Randy J. Brown, 62, of Bellevue, died Thursday, April 5, 2012.
Mr. Brown worked with the individuals with intellectual disabilities at Pittsburgh Mercy.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Murphy Brown; three daughters, Barbara Caliguire and her husband Thomas, Linetta Brown and her husband Derrick and Nicole Brown; six siblings, Darryl McFarland, Mick McFarland, Edwin McFarland, Darlene Guckert, Connie McFarland and Kathleen Brothers; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Bailey, Gage, Zane, Massima and Larke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leda and Clair Brown and Frank McFarland; and two brothers, Larry and Dale McFarland.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View, where a blessing service was held on Wednesday. Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Lawrence Merritt
Lawrence T. "Larry" Merritt died Saturday, April 7, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Perkun Merritt; three children, Mark Merritt and his wife Linda, Dirk Merritt and his wife Naomi and Paula Merritt; his sister, Jackie Wargo and her husband John; four grandchildren, Tyler, Brett, Leilani and Ryan; a great-granddaughter, Bella; his mother-in-law, Maria Perkun; brother-in-law of Olga Perkun, Luba Burgess and her husband Fred, Lisa Forrest and her husband Dan and John Perkun and his wife Susanne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard "Ben" and Hilda Merritt; and his sister, Donna Campbell.

A. George Weigl
A. George Weigl, 80, of Coraopolis, formerly of West View, died Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Mr. Weigl was a North Catholic High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, then attended and graduated from Slippery Rock University. He worked as an agent for Dill and Kirk Insurance for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Weigl; four children, Anthony Weigl of Brownsville, TX, Kathryn Fischer of Moon Township, Gabrielle Padgett of Pinehurst, NC and Andrea Weigl of Raleigh, NC; his sister, Margaret Cronin of Cocoa Beach, FL; and five grandchildren, Luke, George, Paloma, Josephine and Luna.

Joanne Witt
Joanne K. "Joan" Witt, 77, of East Liverpool, OH, formerly of Bellevue, died Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Ms. Witt was a Bellevue High School graduate. She attended Bethany College and earned a master's degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a health and physical education teacher in the East Liverpool city schools and later as a guidance counselor. She was a member of Greenstone United Methodist Church in Avalon.
She is survived by two siblings, Barbara Nell of Bozeman, MT and Robert Alan Witt of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Albert and Helen Ferguson Witt.
Friends were received at Dawson Funeral Home, East Liverpool, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard Feagin officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Mary DiDomenico
Mary A. DiDomenico, 85, of Avalon, wife of the late Joseph S. DiDomenico, died Sunday, April 8, 2012.
She is survived by two children, Theresa O'Keefe and her husband Daniel and John DiDomenico; and three grandchildren, Rebecca Hiles and her husband Don, Samantha and Jacob O'Keefe.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon, where a blessing service was held on Thursday.

Mildred Leskowat
Mildred Zemleduch Leskowat of Emsworth, wife of the late Capt. Walter Leskowat, died Monday, April 9, 2012.
She is survived by two children, Jeffrey Leskowat and his wife Paulette of Tulsa, OK and Diane Leskowat Huerbin and her husband Robert of Ross Township; 11 grandchildren, Robby and Randy Huerbin, Jennifer Stanley and her husband Mark, Sharon Pennington and her husband Nathan, John, Naomi, Catherine, Michael, Isaac, Benjamin and Stephen Leskowat; two great-grandchildren, Kendrick and Audrey Pennington; and cousins Richard and Felicia Zack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Patricia Pacholczak Zemleduch; and her brother, John Zemleduch.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. Funeral services were held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Friday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
