Teresa J. (Lang) Lavery
Teresa Jean (Lang) Lavery died Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andy.
Teresa is survived by her mother, Doris; her daughter, Madeline; her husband of 28 years, Bob; her brothers, Andy (Mark), Greg, Al (Margaret), Dave, Thom (Brigette) and Jeff (Mary-Beth); sisters, Nancy, Linda, Sherri (Richard), Nett (Wayne), Carol and Kathy; 23 nieces and nephews; and by countless friends.
She was a graduate of Edinboro University and a sister of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. After graduation, she worked as a flight attendant, as a sub at the Quaker Valley School District and, for the past five years, at the Sewickley Public Library.
In addition to her love for travel, nature, yoga and cats, she most enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Teresa was a giving person, even in death as an organ donor.
In lieu of flowers, she would have appreciated helping people, and memorial contributions are suggested to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank or the Light of Life Mission.
A remembrance gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Copeland Funeral Home, 702 Beaver St., Sewickley. A church service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Sacred Heart Church, 154 Orchard Ave., Emsworth.

Richard M. Voelker
Richard M. Voelker, of the North Side of Pittsburgh, died Saturday, March 3, 2018.
He was the son of the late Stanley and Ruth (Weber) Voelker; brother of Dorothy (and her husband Mitchell) Abrams and the late Elizabeth Voelker; also survived by cousins.
Richard was a forestry major at Penn State. He was a US Army veteran, an avid photographer and he supported many social justice causes.
There was no visitation. Interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Thomas Merton Center, 5129 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

Irene (Jackson) Byrne
Irene (Jackson) Byrne, 59, of Bellevue, died Monday, March 5, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Lexie and Donna Jackson; mother of Dan (Chrissy) Byrne and Jenny Tedesco; grandmother of Zachary, Matilynne and Jillianne; sister of David and Dale Jackson and the late Sherry Jackson; aunt of Dean, Tressa, Mellanie, Shawn, Kristi and Alyssa, also survived by aunts and uncles.
Friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, where Funeral Service will be held Friday at 7:00pm.

Lydia E. McCorkle Pennington
Lydia E. McCorkle Pennington did March 1, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Osborne and Marie McCorkle. Preceded in death by husband, Marvin H. Pennington. Mother of Angela Marcia Pennington, of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Valon Craig Pennington (Molly) of Pittsburgh, PA. Grandmother of Darla Pennington, Phineas Pennington, and Dash Nagle. Retiree of the VA Healthcare System in Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by a number of sisters and brothers. Sister of Milvette Adkins, Elijah McCorkle, and Clarence McCorkle. Visitation was March 7 at House of Law, Inc. Services were held March 8, 2018, Missionary Baptist Church.
