Helen McNamara
Helen Clare Weinman McNamara, 87, of Bellevue, wife of the late Francis J. McNamara, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013.
Mrs. McNamara was past regent of CDA #664, Court Allegheny. She worked at North Suburban Adult Services and the North Boroughs YMCA.
She is survived by five children, Beverly A. Hulick of Texas, James F. McNamara of Verona, Patrick D. McNamara of Alaska, Theresa M. Pfeffer of Texas and Mary L. Palmer of England; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward C. Weinman.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a blessing service was held on Sunday. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, Great Rivers Affiliate, Four Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Ave., Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-1207.

Bernice Steele
Bernice P. "Bea" Steele, 80, of Bellevue, wife of the late George J. Steele Sr., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.
She is survived by four children, George Steele Jr. and his wife Grace, Connie Jackson and her husband John, Donna Steele and Thomas Hunt and Linda Vidic and her husband Jerry; two siblings, Don Groom and Delores Peterson and her husband Pete; 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Julie, Jason, Rick, Michael, Missy, Lori, Johnny, Chad and Jeremey; five great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Dave Tritinger; and her former daughter-in-law, Kim Steele Fish and her husband Dan. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Ken Groom, Marge Ferman and Carol Tritinger.
There was no visitation, and services were private. Donations are suggested to Heartland Hospice, 750 Holiday Dr., Foster Plaza, Suite 110, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Arrangements were made by the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon.

Virginia Dyer
Virginia E. Dyer, 98, of Bellevue, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Vincentian Regency.
Ms. Dyer was retired from Allegheny County Juvenile Court Division, where she worked in housekeeping for many years. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Delia Dyer; six nieces and nephews, Maureen McCullouch, Kathleen Granc, John Dyer, James Dyer, Charles Boyle and James Boyle; and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Brown Dyer; and six siblings, Thomas, Kenneth, George, Catherine, Margaret and John Dyer.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

William McCartney
William A. McCartney, 82, of Bellevue, died Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Mr. McCartney was retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County, where he was a bus driver for 36 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Young McCartney; two daughters, Lori Jackson and her husband Dennis of Bellevue and Stacy DeBacco and her husband Dominic of Chicora, PA; his brother, Charles McCartney and his wife Eileen; five grandchildren, Derek Jackson and his wife Brigitte, Elesha Jackson, Zachary, Brittany and Brielle DeBacco; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Ian Jackson. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Theodore, Robert, Terrie Marie, Ann Beckwith and Deloris Patak.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where services were held on Wednesday. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.

Opal Klass
Opal M. Shinn Klass, wife of the late Paul C. Klass, died Monday, March 4, 2013.
She is survived by two daughters, Bridget Backs and her husband Tom of Ohio and Kathleen L. Kovach and her husband Jerry; her sister, Patricia A. Mayhall and her husband Bob of Florida; four granddaughters, Kriste Bowersoxx, Jennifer Rieger, Natalie Bail and Caitlin Bail; and six great-grandchildren, Elijah Walton, Mia Bowersoxx, Charlotte Rieger, Sarah Rieger, Nolan Rieger and Tieran Cianca. She was preceded in death by her brother, Preston "Buddy" Shinn.
Friends were received at Little Sisters of the Poor, where a funeral mass was held on Friday in the home chapel. Donations are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or the American Cancer Society.

William Ott
William T. Ott, 50, of Wexford, formerly of Ben Avon, died Monday, March 4, 2013 in UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Mr. Ott was a salesman for Professional Pool Services of Sewickley. He was a member of Moose Lodge #353 in Hastings, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Lana Blevins Ott; his son, Alexander Ott of Wexford; his mother, Mary Ruth Weakland Ott of Ben Avon; six siblings, Margaret Sling and her husband David of West View, Marie Lenyo of Ben Avon, Ellen Fonzi and her husband Angelo of Indiana, Karen Ott of Raleigh, NC, Diane Kolesar and her husband Bill of Maryland and Eric Ott and his wife Jeanette of Ohio Twp.; and a niece and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Ott; and his brother, Bobby Ott.
