Phillip Hahn
Phillip C. Hahn, 64, of Aliquippa, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Hahn; two daughters, Lori Frocek and her husband John of Wilmington, DE and Kristin Bennett and her husband Brian of Emsworth; his mother, Marion Hahn of Ohio Township; two siblings, Robert and his wife Cheryl of Evans City and Gloria of Ohio Township; three grandchildren, Zane, Luke and Anna; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Hahn; and his brother, Edward C. Hahn.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, until the time of services on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

Margaret O'Brien
Margaret A. "Peg" Laxton O'Brien, wife of the late Harry J. "Hap" O'Brien, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011.
She is survived by nine children, Eileen F. O'Brien-Padgett, Gertrude A. O'Brien, Patrick J. O'Brien and his wife Cheryl, Mary Ann "Mim" O'Brien, Ellen P. O'Brien-John and her husband Scott, Margaret E. Powell and her husband Ed, Kathryn M. O'Brien-Spiegel and her husband Cliff, Deborah L. Miller and Kevin M. O'Brien; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Harry J. and Michael G. O'Brien; and her brother, John F. Laxton.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Monday. Memorials are suggested to her church.

Patricia Keffer
Patricia J. Yenny Keffer died Friday, March 18, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Keffer; three children, Debra Weick and her husband Jerry, Nancy Kitzman and her husband Kurt and Thomas P. Keffer and his wife Pam; her brother, Robert Schmude; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Donald; and two brothers, Jack and Lou Schmude.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Tuesday.

Dolores Kimberlin
Dolores E. Kimberlin, 80, of Ross Township, formerly of Bellevue, died Thursday, March 17, 2011.
Ms. Kimberlin worked at H.J. Heinz Corp. for more than 40 years in public relations. She was past matron of Bellevue Chapter O.E.S. and a current member of North Hills Chapter O.E.S. She served the Grand Chapter of PA in several capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George T. and Ethel Bogart Kimberlin; her brother, Thomas Kimberlin; and dear friend, Mary Atkins and her family.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View. Services were held in West View United Methodist Church on Monday. Burial was in Mt. Royal Cemetery. Donations are suggested to her church at 146 Cornell Ave., West View, PA 15229.

James Walker
James R. Walker, 85, of Butler, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, March 17, 2011.
Mr. Walker was a member of Knights of Columbus and Allegheny Elks. He operated Schuljak Plumbing and Heating on the North Side.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Schuljak Walker; three children, James R. Walker, Charlotte Hudanich and her husband Tom and Russell S. Walker and his wife Sherri; and five grandchildren, Tracy and Lacey Hudanich, Courtney, Jennifer and Russell Walker. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Emma, William and Edward Walker and Patricia Cahill.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday.

Beatrice Campbell
Beatrice "Bea" Campbell, 91, of Avalon, wife of the late J. Bruce Campbell, died Friday, March 18, 2011.
Mrs. Campbell was an active member of Bellevue United Presbyterian Church, where she served as elder and deacon. She also was an active member of North Boroughs Women's Club.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Campbell and his wife Elizabeth, Mark Campbell and his wife Kelly and Roger Campbell; her sister, Elizabeth Ewen; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Tuesday. Donations are suggested to Juvenile Diabetes or her church.

Joseph Skupnik
Joseph R. "Buddy" Skupnik, 85, of Bellevue, died Friday, March 18, 2011.
He is survived by two siblings, Jean R. Skupnik and Paul A. Skupnik and his wife Judy; two nieces, Valerie Kogut and her husband Brian and Jennifer Albert and her husband Michael; two grandnieces, Kaitlin and Bethany Kogut; and a grandnephew, Ryan Albert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. and Mary R. Skupnik; and his sister, Marie R. Skupnik.
There was no visitation and burial was private. A memorial mass will be held later. Memorials are suggested to Assumption School, 35 N. Jackson Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Frank Martin
Frank A. Martin, 93, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the late Constance Ventura Martin, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Little Sisters of the Poor.
Mr. Martin was a graduate of Robert Morris University. He worked as assistant budget controller for the City of Pittsburgh.
He is survived by three daughters, Helen Weaver, Janet Bill and Patricia Trischler; his sister, Frances Barone; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Little Sisters of the Poor, where a Mass of Christian Burial was held in the chapel on Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Eleanor Meyer
Eleanor C. Hickman Meyer, 91, of Avalon, wife of the late James B. Meyer, died Saturday, March 19, 2011.
She is survived by two children, Kathleen "Trini" Smith and James "Jay" Meyer; five grandchildren, Kimberly and Tamara Smith, Adam and Holly Meyer and Deanna Blatz; two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Justice Meyer; three nephews, Richard Fortier and his wife Jody, David Fortier and his wife Lila and Jogn Fortier; six grandnieces and grandnephews, Jono Fortier and his wife Lisa, Katie Helfrich and her husband Matt, Ryan Fortier and his wife Ashley, Michael, Andrew, Lisa and Megan Fortier; and two great-grandniece and a great-grandnephew, Michael, Clara and Elisabeth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Martha Wiley Hickman.

Conrad Slanina
Conrad E. Slanina, 90, of Ben Avon, died Friday, March 18, 2011 in Good Samaritan Hospice.
Mr. Slanina attended Carnegie Institute of Technology, now CMU. He retired as supervisor of municipal services at PennDOT. He was a life member of American Society of Highway Engineers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe in the 305th Engineering Battalion, 80th Division, under Gen. George Patton. He was an oblate at St. Benedict Monastery and was appointed to membership to the PA Architecture Licensure Board by Gov. Robert P. Casey. He also served as assistant state director of AARP and as an arbitrator for the Pittsburgh Better Business Bureau. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Bellevue Chapter #1400, Bellevue VFW Post #2454 and West View Post #2754.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Baroffio Slanina; two children, Conrad E. Slanina Jr. and his wife Nancy Keeney of Wheeling, WV and Roberta S. O'Brien of Cocoa Beach, FL; two siblings, Melvin Slanina of Tucson, AZ and Marion Haas of Delaware; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Hannah of Wheeling; and nieces and nephews.
There was no visitation. A funeral mass and burial with military honors at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be held. Memorial donations are suggested to the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, 4724 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Phillip Paoletti
Phillip F. Paoletti of Bellevue died Saturday, March 19, 2011.
Mr. Paoletti was a longtime employee of the Northgate School District.
He is survived by two siblings, Darlene "Dolly" and Ron Glaser; and his niece, Angela Glaser. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Mary Musko Paoletti.
There was no visitation. Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side.

Marion Retzer
Marion U. Retzer, formerly of Ohio Township and wife of the late Justus F. Retzer, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Mrs. Retzer was a volunteer at Sewickley Valley Hospital and a member of Mt. Nebo United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and cats.
She is survived by a niece, two nephews, nine grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian I. Snyder.
Friends were received at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, Zelienople, where services were held on Wednesday. Burial was in Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to her church at 1828 Roosevelt Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143; Harmony EMS, 102 Mennonite Lane, Harmony, PA 16037; or a favorite humane society.
