Grace Heppenstall
Grace Armstrong Heppenstall of Avalon, wife of the late Max R. Heppenstall, died Sunday, March 7, 2010.
She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Grimshaw and Jean Krepps; and five nieces and nephews, George Grimshaw, John Grimshaw, Mary Grimshaw-Donovan, Karen Krepps-Wood and Tom Krepps.
There was no visitation and services were private. Burial was in Homewood Cemetery. Arrangements were made by H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, North Hills.

Mary Lubbert
Mary E. Lubbert of Avalon, wife of the late Harry Lubbert Jr., died Thursday, March 4, 2010.
She is survived by six sons, Harry, Steven, Jeffery, Michael, Matthew and Mark Lubbert; and five grandchildren.
There was no visitation, and burial was private. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. John Specialty Care Center, 500 Wittenberg Way, P.O. Box 928, Mars, PA 16046. Arrangements were made by Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side.

Mary Niedt
Mary C. Crawford Niedt, 65, of Brighton Heights, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Niedt; her daughter, Amy Gross and her husband Philip Jr.; five siblings, William J. King and his wife Joy, George M. Crawford and his wife Jane, Penny Goodrich, Richard L. Crawford and Marla Paslawski and her husband Gene; three grandchildren, Jessica, Alicia and Philip Gross III; and two great-grandchildren, Maliyah and Kaylie. She was preceded in death by Rosemary Stultz.
Friends were received at Brady Memorial Home, Spring Hill, until the time of services on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the MS Society.

John Bartholomew
John J. Bartholomew, 58, of Brighton Heights, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010.
Mr. Bartholomew was a retired special agent with the FBI.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas J. Bartholomew Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles G. and Mary T. Bartholomew; and his brother, Charles G. Bartholomew.
There was no visitation, and burial was private.

Mildred Lesek
Mildred "Millie" Lesek, 89, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Myron Lesek, died Friday, March 5, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Oldaker and her husband Jim; her brother, Harry Kelly; and two grandsons, Michael Oldaker and his wife Kathy and Jeffrey Oldaker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia DiNardo and her husband Anthony; her parents, Harry and Mary Kelley; and two brothers, Lawrence and Charles Kelley.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Vincentian Home, 111 Perrymont Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Mildred Reith
Mildred Reith, 93, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Charles G. Reith, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.
She is survived by two children, Connie Colby and her husband George of Ormond Beach, FL and Charles G. Reith Jr. and his wife Sheri of Rochester, IL; her sister, Mary Kraus of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Xavier and Margaret Moore Munsch; and five siblings, Frank, Charles, James, Margaret and Connie.
Private services will be held later.

Dorothy Parks
Dorothy C. Parks of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Peter P. Parks, died Thursday, March 4, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Samosky and her husband John and Dorothy Borza and her husband Robert; her sister, Patricia Biernesser; four granddaughters, Beth Ann Mudd and her husband Kevin, Amy Samosky, Emily Gavin and her husband Michael and Alison Juhl and her husband Jason; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Makenna and Nora. She was preceded in death by four siblings, John, Margaret, Gene and Ruth.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Monday.

John Matschner Sr.
John R. "Jack" Matschner Sr. of Shaler Township died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.
Mr. Matschner was the owner of John R. Matschner and Company, an accounting firm in Etna. He was past president of Middle Road Baseball Association and St. Mary Athletic Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Murray Matschner; six children, Eileen Kline and her husband Alex of Shaler, Susan Dunn and her husband Joe of Washington, PA, Cheryl Haberman and her husband Andy, Karen Fugh and her husband Tim, Kevin Matschner, all of Shaler, and John Matschner Jr. and his wife Denise of Brighton Heights; 16 grandchildren, Chelsea, Alex, Tori and Lizzie Kline, Emily, Nicole and Jake Matschner, Ninalee, Mary and Michael Dunn, Jordan, Conner and Kevin Haberman, Nick Brennen, Brianna and Marah Fugh; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Dorothy Schiffauer Matschner; and his sister, Shirley Butch.
Friends were received at Frank R. Perman Funeral Home, Shaler. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Glenshaw on Wednesday. Donations are suggested to North Catholic High School, St. Bonaventure School, Glenshaw, JFK School, Washington, PA, or St. Cyril of Alexandria School, Brighton Heights.
