Raymond Anthony Borza
Raymond Anthony Borza, 71, died Feb. 1, 2019 at his home in Merritt Island FL, after a hard fought, 4 year battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh June 20, 947, Ray was preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Helen (Henchar) Borza, and his wife, Sherry (Szvoboda) Borza.
He is survived by sisters, Toni (Colin) Baldwin, and Emmajean (Bill) Meckler, nephews David Baldwin and Scott Meckler, nieces Colleen Briskey (Baldwin) and Christina Orwell (Meckler), six great nieces and nephews, as well as a lifetime of close friends whom Ray considered his family.
After graduation from Bellevue High School, Ray served in Vietnam in the US Army 219th Aviation Company, and retired from Duquesne Light Company after more than 30 years.
As a kid, Ray enjoyed working on and racing his go-carts at Green Valley Raceway, and in later years he rebuilt many car engines, and owned a few motorcycles. He tried his hand at and was very good at vegetable gardening and wood carving and home remodeling. He made cigar box banjos, and became a creative chef using his Big Green Egg.
Ray and Sherry spent many happy hours with friends on their boat, and they both loved to winter in Progresso, Mexico. Most recently Ray restored a 1947 military jeep and volunteered at the Warbird Museum in Titusville Florida.
Ray's family is especially grateful to Carly and Kristy of Merritt Island, FL for loving Ray-Ray and Sherry.
A memorial service with Military Honor Guard is being held in Florida at the VFW at Cape Canaveral on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Interment for Ray and Sherry will be at a National Cemetery in Florida. There will be a Celebration of Ray's life in Pittsburgh in the summer of 2019.

Sarah Ruth Blaney
Sarah Ruth Blaney, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Little Sisters of the Poor, North Side.
Born April 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James Francis and Sadie Mahon Blaney. She was the youngest and is the last of her siblings: Neal (Rhoda) Blaney, Charles (Mary) Blaney, Mary (Mamie) Blaney, Margaret (William) Garvey and Virginia (Charles) Schneider.
Ruth attended Assumption School and graduated in the 1942 Class at St. Benedict Academy. Ruth attended a secretarial school and joined her sister Mary, who was working at Bethlehem Steel, Leetsdale, PA. She also worked for Joy Manufacturing after the steel company closed.
As a lifetime member of Assumption Church, she was in the choir, which traveled to Europe and sang for the Pope twice in Rome. She joined the Ladies of Charity and participated in many of the church’s musicals. Her love of singing led her to appearances with the North Boros Musicanters.
Ruth was later a receptionist at the Little Sisters of the Poor. As a resident, she was often the first to sign up for activities, especially field trips and bingo. Another love was singing in the Home’s choir and in resident musicals. Ruth has numerous nephews and nieces, grand-nephews and nieces, great-grand nephews and nieces.
Friends received Friday, 2-4 and 6-8pm, Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 460 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at the Church of the Assumption, with her nephew, Rev. James W. Garvey, officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial donations in her name are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh, PA 15212.

Bertha V. Horvat-Streb
Bertha V. Horvat-Streb, 97, of Bellevue, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2019.
She was the wife of the late Richard F. Streb; mother of Patricia Blasko, David (Trish) Severin, and the late Bertha Clark, Carolyn Smith, and Ronald Horvat; grandmother of Stacy Clark, Daniel Clark, Kelly (Erik) Uhring, Kym (Steve) Campbell, Bill Smith, and the late Michael, Stephen, Timothy, and Christopher Clark; great-grandmother of Teil Uhring, Blaze Campbell, Gage Smith, and Grace Clark.
She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the love she gave to all.

Naomi R. (Lontz) Magee
Naomi R. (Lontz) Magee, 80, of McKees Rocks, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.
She was born Oct. 21, 1938 in McKees Rocks, daughter of the late Mildred (Severn) and Merrill Lontz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Hubert Lontz.
She is survived by Paul Magee, her husband of 60 years and her children Thomas Magee of Reston, VA, Brian (Lois) Magee of Cary, NC and James (Julie) Magee of Jeannette; and grandchildren Matthew (Tori) Magee, Jonathan Magee (fiancée Claire Stark), Patrick Magee (girlfriend Jennifer Celender), Kevin Magee (fiancé Chad Correll), Marissa Magee (fiancé Nicholas Meehan), Olivia Urbanic, Mark Urbanic; many nieces and nephews and by her sister-in-law Dorothy Lontz. She will also be greatly missed by her furry companion Claire.
