Ted Christ
Ted D. Christ, 79, of Brighton Heights, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.
Mr. Christ was co-owner of Christ Printing for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Seitz Christ; two children, Sandra Christ and Dale Christ and his wife Kristen; his brother, Wayne Christ; two grandchildren, Michelle and Alea Christ; and his cat, Junior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hilda Virginia Barbin Christ; and his sister, Sharon Whiteford.
Friends were received at Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Risen Lord Church on Tuesday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Florence L. Karl
Florence L. Karl of Missoula, 93, passed away Feb. 14, 2013 of natural causes at Village Health Care, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 1, 1919 in Bellevue, Pennsylvania to Roy and Jessie Penfield. She worked many years in the Avonworth School District. In 1944, she married Kenneth Karl and they had 49 great years before Kenneth's death in 1993 in Missoula. In 1981, Ken and Florence moved to Missoula to be near their family. She always loved going to her son's and grandson's sporting events. Her favorite thing to do was play bingo wherever she was.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ken, sister Ruth, brother Ray. She is survived by her two sons, Ken and Hal; daughter-in-laws, Nina and Judy; grandchildren, KJ and Terra, Mike and Mindy, Jim and Jessalynn; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Trenton, Dillon, MacKenzie, Clark, Natalie, and Phoebe; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Stringert; and many nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates the very caring staff at the Village Heathcare Center, especially the staff of the Bitterroot Hall.
Memorial services were held Monday, Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Garden City Funeral Home. Florence will be laid to rest later in the summer at the Mount Nebo Cemetery in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Belinda Louise Smith
Belinda Louise (Scaramuzzo) Smith, 82, of Avalon, died on Feb. 5, 2013.
Born Feb. 27, 1930, she was the beloved wife of Bruce Allen Smith.
Belinda is survived by her daughter Sandra and son Richard (Shirley) Smith and grandsons, Raymond and Vincent. She is the much loved sister of William Scaramuzzo, Rena Venditti and Elsie (Anthony) Asquino. Preceded in death by a brother, Marion, and sister Mary. "Bee" will be remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends in Avalon and Bellevue. Friends were received Friday and Saturday until the time of services at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc.

Dolores M. Moses
Dolores M. (Baron) Moses, age 84, of Ben Avon, died Jan. 30, 2013.
She was the wife of the late William Fred Moses; mother of William R. Moses (Vicki) of Ross Township, and the late Cynthia Ann Rahm; sister of Richard Baron (Diane) of West View, Marilyn Brubach (the late Edward) and the late Robert F. Baron; grandmother of Eric Lawrence Rahm (Jill), Heather Leah Abbott (Pat), Jenifer Moses, William J. Moses and Gary F. Smith; also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc., where services were held on Friday. Interment followed in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw.

Rita Sorg
Rita M. Walsh Sorg, wife of the late Jack H. Sorg, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
She is survived by two sons, John H. Sorg and his wife Patricia of Kentucky and Timothy J. Sorg and his wife Lynne; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Mary Bechtel, Bernadette Roche, John, James, William and Robert Walsh.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Saturday.

James Dugan
James R. Dugan died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
He is survived by his wife Anceda Miller Dugan; seven children, Thomas P., Colleen Billings of Tennessee, John J. and his wife Julie of Connecticut, James A. and his wife Denise, Nancy L., David M. and his wife Marianne of Ohio and Amy L. of Missouri; his sister, Madeline Hughes; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Dugan.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Little Sisters of the Poor Chapel on Monday. Memorials are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Wilfred Shanholtz
Wilfred "Bill" Shanholtz, 83, of Ambridge, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Pirro Shanholtz; two daughters, Debbie Catanzarite and her husband Wayne of Ohio Township and Judi Martinez and her husband Anthony of Las Vegas, NV; seven siblings, Douglas and his wife Dolly, Barbara, David, Ruth Sabino, Nancy Johnson, Margie Bullock and her husband Jim and Robert and his wife Etta; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
There was no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Good Samaritan Church in Ambridge on Monday. Arrangements were made by Bohn-Matich Funeral Home.

William Amy
William H. Amy, formerly of Brighton Heights and husband of the late Alice "Betsy" Amy, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
He is survived by three children, David B. Amy and his wife Karen of Maryland, Linda Cooper and her husband Chris Mullen and Judith E. Hagemann and her husband Eric of Maryland; two grandchildren, Megan McShane and her husband Andy and Russell Amy; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Moore.
Friends were received at Stephen M. Brady Funeral Home, North Side. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warriors Project.

Richard Deer III
Richard E. "Rick" Deer III, 59, of Fombell, PA, formerly of Bellevue, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Charlie" Deer; three children, R.C. Deer and his wife Kym and Rachel Deer, all of Charlotte, NC and Mary Deer of Fombell; his brother, Ronald Deer of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren, Quinn, Camden and Reagan.
A memorial service will be held at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Robert Kepplinger officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the Rick Deer Memorial Fund, c/o YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer, 126 Nagel Rd., Fombell, PA 16123. Arrangements were made by Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.

Lila Duffy
Lila Siebert Duffy, 88, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Albert Duffy, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
She is survived by three children, Carolyn Skorich and her husband Mike, Cheryl O'Brien and her husband Pat and David Duffy and his wife Jan; nine grandchildren; four great-grandsons; and her sister-in-law, Velma Birch. She was preceded in death by her sister, Franny; and in-laws, Bob and Pat Duffy, Ed ad Irene Brown, Ralph Birch and Minnie Duffy.
Arrangements were made by North Meadowlawn Funeral Home.

George Guke Sr.
George M. Guke Sr., 81, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.
Mr. Guke was a 1951 graduate of North Catholic High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Guke; and two children, Bonnie Shaginaw and her husband Doug and George M. Guke and his wife Becky.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a blessing service was held on Thursday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum.

Genevieve Boyd
Genevieve K. Boyd, 94, of Emsworth, wife of the late Dr. William J. Boyd Sr., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.
Mrs. Boyd had worked for the American Cancer Society and belonged to a garden club and North Suburban Adult Services. She enjoyed sewing and animals.
She is survived by her son, Richard Boyd of Bellevue; her granddaughter, Kristen Boyd; two great-grandsons, Aaron and William Gervasio; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, William J. Boyd Jr.; her parents, Paul and Amelia Kluz; and two siblings, Kay and Ted Kluz.
A memorial service will be held in Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Animal Friends.
