Janet Young
Janet Grace Allaman Young, 78, of Ross Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.
Mrs. Young enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening and traveling to all but five of the United States. She also traveled to five continents and went on 20 cruises. She had most recently traveled to Hawaii and Antigua.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Norman C. Young; three children, Kathy Hamilton and her husband Bill of Bellevue, Marsha Young of Enola, PA and Steven Young and his wife MaryJo; two brothers, Rev. Samuel Allaman Jr. and his wife Ann and Jack Allaman and his wife Marie; four grandchildren, Amy Garbin and her husband Mark, Kevin Hamilton, Jason Woods and Kaley Gasper and her husband Ken; two great-grandchildren, Mikenna and Alex Garbin; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Danny; her parents, Rev. Samuel and Grace Allaman; and three half-siblings, Wilmer, Mike and Ruth.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. Funeral services were held in Dutihl United Methodist Church, Cranberry Township, on Saturday. Dorothy Fitzgerald
Dorothy R. Fitzgerald, 105, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Bethel Park and Bellevue and wife of the late Walter F.A. Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was a Seton Hill University and Margaret Morrison Business College graduate. She enjoyed world travel and reading. Until the age of 102, she walked to daily mass at St. Thomas More Church.
She is survived by three children, Patricia Engel and her husband William, Roberta Grant and her husband John and William J. Fitzgerald and his wife Deborah Harper; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Beinhauers Funeral Home, McMurray. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Thomas More Church on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ladies of Charity Emergency Trust Fund, Diocese of Pittsburgh, 111 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

Catherine Hillard
Catherine F. East Hillard of Ross Township, formerly of Avalon, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hillard; two sons, Robert Hillard and his wife Karen and Kevin Hillard; her brother, Joseph East and his wife Kay; and three grandchildren, Susan, Amy and David Hillard.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, where services were held on Monday.

John Mahofski
John A. Mahofski, husband of the late Kathleen Ritondo Mahofski, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
He is survived by four children, Stephen Mahofski, David Mahofski and his wife Cindy, Virginia Ascencio and her husband James and John Paul Mahofski; two siblings, Patricia Tessicino and Eugene Mahofski and his wife Pat; and five grandchildren, Samuel, Michael, Anthony, Jesse and Amanda. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susan Tortola Mahofski.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Tuesday.

Joseph Swidorsky Sr.
Joseph E. Swidorsky Sr. died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012.
He is survived by three children, Joseph E. Swidorsky Jr., Anthony Swidorsky and Bessie Swidorsky; nine siblings, Betty Badusha, Mary Ann Crawford, William Swidorsky, Dolores Oyler and her husband Ron, Diane Kurz and her husband Herman, Peter Swidorsky, Carol Sheppard and her husband Jim, Ron Swidorsky and his wife Betty and Debbie Lesko and her husband Larry; his granddaughter, Gia; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William Swidorsky; and his brother, Michael Swidorsky.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side, until the time of a funeral mass in Risen Lord Church on Wednesday.
