Rev. Doyle Snyder
Rev. Doyle H. Snyder, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 in Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Rev. Snyder was a 1945 graduate of Uniontown High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He earned a B.S. degree in history at Waynesburg College and a master of theology degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1957 at Mt. Pleasant Middle Presbyterian Church and began his ministry in Donora and Monongahela. He served at the Fremont Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bellevue for 16 and one-half years until 1987, when a merger of three churches became Northminster Presbyterian Church. He served as interim minister in Mt. Lebanon, Tarentum, Carrick, Wilkinsburg, Crafton, Brookline and Uniontown.
He also served as interim pastor at Mt. Washington and Kennedy Heights churches in Cincinnati, OH.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Franks Snyder; four daughters, Melinda Ann Mangino and her husband Richard of Sharon, PA, Rebecca Jane Graham and her husband Hugh of North Hills, Suzanne Noel Paukovics and her husband Richard of Wexford and Rachel Elizabeth Mackintosh of McCandless Township; his sister, Patricia Kirk and her husband Jerry of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren, Katherine Lord, Michael and Kevin Cox, Christopher Graham and his wife Hannah, Brittany Graham Demidov and her husband Dmitry, Julia and Jason Paukovics; and two great-grandchildren, Eden Elizabeth Graham and Penelope Kate Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl D. and Mattie L. Browning Snyder; and two siblings, Winifred and John Leonard.
A memorial service was held in Seaman Memorial Chapel at Passavant Retirement Community on Tuesday Contributions are suggested to Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.

Raymond Vaughn
Raymond J. Vaughn died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.
Mr. Vaughn had worked at Giant Eagle for 24 years. He also had worked for St. Peter Church and Allis Chalmers.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline Vaughn; and three siblings, Robert, Jimmy and Jacky Vaughn.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Friday.

Joseph Zangaro
Joseph P. Zangaro, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Olga Zangaro; six children, Eileen Cervone and her husband Peter, Lynne Swartzwelder, Joseph Zangaro and his wife Janie, Ronald Zangaro and his wife Kaci, James Zangaro and his wife Rene and John Zangaro and his wife Kim; three siblings, Ann, Fred and Marlene; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; and two siblings, Dom and Sylvia.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Monday.

Walter Parker
Walter E. Parker, 82, of Brighton Heights, husband of the late Sandy Parker, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
He is survived by three children, Marie Parker, David Parker and Mark Parker and his wife Shirley; eight grandchildren, Mark Jr., Henry, Lydia, Ty, Pyper, Joshua, Matthew and Kenneth; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Valerian F. Szal Funeral Home, McKees Rocks. A funeral mass was held in Brighton Heights Lutheran Church on Tuesday.

Frances Amato
Frances Volpe Amato, wife of the late Frank Joseph Amato, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014.
She is survived by three children, Salvatrice "Sally" Ewing and her husband Paul, Salvatore Amato and his wife Joan and Maria Bergman and her husband Jeffrey; five grandchildren, Lisa Ann, Paul David, Nicole Ann, Tiffany Marie and Justin Ryan; five great-grandchildren, Destin, Paige, Elizabeth, Willow and Trae; her godchild, Jackie Miller; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Victor Volpe and Rose Griglia.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday.

Paul Rotstein
Paul Bernard Rotstein, 84, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 in Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Las Vegas.
Mr. Rotstein was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked in sales, first for baby photos, insurance and cable television as a salesman and manager for many companies in Pittsburgh and across Pennsylvania. He also worked as an usher at Forbes Field and Three Rivers Stadium. He enjoyed playing cards and winning poker tournaments.
He is survived by five children, Gerald Rotstein of Las Vegas, Dave Roberts of Oakley, CA, Gary Rotstein of Edgewood, Michael Rotstein of Las Vegas and Sandra Binder of Bellevue; two brothers, Gary Ross of Philadelphia and Morris Rotstein of San Francisco; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Rotstein.
