Mary Ellen Nelson
Mary Ellen Nelson, 86, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Carl Nelson, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.
She is survived by four children, Judith Arthur, Bridget Robbins and her husband Kenneth, David Nelson and his wife Leslie and Richard Nelson and his partner Shawn; 10 grandchildren, Brandy Reischman, Kristy Fry and her husband Brian, Joshua Satory and his wife Jen, April Kirkpatrick, Morgan, Samantha and Jayden Nelson, Dillon and Derek Robbins; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at a memorial service in Trinity Lutheran Church in Avalon on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to Golden Hill Nursing Home, 520 Friendship St., New Castle, PA 16101. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.
Ronald C. Savickas, 64, of Avalon, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016.
He is survived by two siblings, Robert and Erik Savickas; two nieces; and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Theresa Savickas; and two sisters, Joella and Kathleen Savickas.
Services and burial were private. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.
Ronald J. Malenky, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016.
Mr. Malenky was a North Catholic High School and St. Vincent College graduate. He was a former president and owner of P.B. Graphics and an officer of the printing industry for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah R. "Sally Fortune" Malenky; five children, Jeffrey Malenky of Humble, TX, Kathleen M. Bent and her husband George of Cape Cod, MA, Paul G. Malenky and his wife Janet of Portage, IN, Mark Malenky and his partner John of Hammonton, NJ and Gregory M. Malenky and his wife Amy of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, Justin Malenky and his wife Melissa, Traci Ferguson and her husband Jeff, Amber Bedola and her husband Jay, Tiffany Rector and her husband Andrew, George, Molly, John and Sarah Bent; and four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Elliot Ferguson, Brooklyn and Easton Malenky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Malenky; and his brother, Robert D. Malenky.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday. Donations are suggested to Assumption School in Bellevue or St. Vincent College in Latrobe.
Kathleen Blauth, 72, of Bellevue, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016.
Ms. Blauth was a member of the Church of the Assumption. She worked with the choir and the church rectory. She was retired from the VA hospital in Oakland, where worked in the lab for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her sister, Claudia Petosky and her husband Les; five nephews, Louis Blauth and his wife Derry, David Blauth and his wife Kate, Robert Petosky and his wife Melissa, Mark Petosky and John Petosky; and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lou Blauth and his wife Pat.

Reinford S. "Ray" Fischer, 75, of Ross Township, formerly of Brighton Heights, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016.
Mr. Fischer attended John Morrow Elementary School and Oliver High School. He graduated from Parsons College in Iowa, where he studied history. He was a member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. He worked in the roofing industry, including the family's Allstate Industries. He retired from Follansbee Steel as a regional sales manager in 2011. In retirement, he worked part-time at Lowe's. He was a member of North Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Fischer; four children, James and his wife Linda of Ostrander, OH, John and his wife Erin Lutz of Ross, and Heather of Ostrander; his brother, Harry and his wife Lois of Simsbury, CT; two grandchildren, Sabrina of Ross and Grace of Ostrander; and his sister-in-law, Sue Glasgow of Avalon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F. II and Frances S. Fischer.
