Albert Feller
Albert William "Bill" Feller, 89, of Ohio Township, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.
Mr. Feller was a 1941 graduate of South Hills High School and in 1942 he joined the U.S. Army. During World War II he served as a combat soldier in the China, Burma and India theaters of operation with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired in 1982 from Cyclops Corp. in Mt. Lebanon, where he was a purchasing supervisor for more than 35 years. He was a member of Chartiers Lodge #297 F&AM Canonsburg, Scottish Rite and Syria Temple. He was a life member of the Purchasing Agents Association, American Legion Post 0004 and CBI Veterans Association, Fort Pitt Baska.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Jane Montgomery Feller; five children, Karl M. Feller and his wife Bonnie of Colorado Springs, CO, Joanna Lynn Steinman and her husband Robert of Downingtown, PA, William J. Feller and his wife Karla of Colorado Springs, Charles M. Feller and his wife Cindie and Nancy L. Buszinski and her husband Donald, all of Gibsonia; 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Karla, Joanna,a Robert, Jennifer, Zachary, Allison, Samantha, Macenzie, Benjamin, Jake and C.J.; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert W. and Genevieve M. Loftus Feller.
Friends were received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Ross Township, where services were held on Monday. Burial was in Jefferson Memorial Park. Kathleen Monier
Kathleen R. "Kathy" Monier, 73, of Brighton Heights, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.
Ms. Monier attended St. Benedict Academy and worked for Yellow Cab Co. for 55 years. She was an active member of St. Cyril of Alexandria Church and St. Francis Church (Risen Lord Church). Previously, she was a 30-year member of St. Mary Church before it closed. She volunteered at bingo, bake sales and the annual festivals. She was a Pirates season ticket holder for more than 40 years.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Monier; her sister-in-law, Anna Monier; four nieces and nephews, Mark Monier and his wife Sandra, Karen Monier and her husband Bill Tyler, Colette Monier-Coughlin and her husband Charlie and Eric Monier; six grandnieces and grandnephews; and her dog, Gerri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Stella Monier; and three siblings, E.A. "Gus," Jane and Marie Elaine.

Mary Miller
Mary Virginia "Marie" Miller, 98, of Ben Avon, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.
She is survived by her brother, Norbert Miller and his wife Edith of Lexington, SC; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Edna Miller; and five siblings, Richard Campbell, Charles Miller, Alvin Miller, Louis Miller and Catherine "Betty" Luebkert.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday.

Joseph Pace
Joseph G. Pace, 97, formerly of North Side, Bellevue and Emsworth and husband of the late Dorothy Burton Pace, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 in Vincentian Regency Home, Allison Park.
Mr. Pace had been an ironworker for Local #3. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served as athletic instructor teaching judo and boxing at Georgia Tech. He enjoyed dancing at Coraopolis Vets and West View Fire Hall.
He was the father of Burton D. Pace and his wife Norma and Barbara Lee Pace; He leaves six siblings, Jean Cej, Marylou Melcher, Rosalie Downs, Ted, Anthony and Gerry Pace; six grandchildren, Sheri Wood and her husband John, Diane Blazier, Nina VanNoy, Joseph Pace, Lynn Napolitano and her husband Jim and Mark Braclielly; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Louise Ferrara Pace; and four siblings, Eddie, Dodo (Julius), Bill and Ronnie.

Howard Chappel
Howard W. "Hud" Chappel, 86, of Upper St. Clair, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.
Mr. Chappel was retired from Cyclops Steel Corp. He was a longtime elder at First Christian Church of Carnegie and a member of Masonic Centennial Lodge 544 and SOAR. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After the war, he served as a guard at the Nuremberg Trials.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Ladley Chappel; four children, Kathryn Ann Kunde and her husband Charles of Land O'Lakes, FL, Leslie Howard of Upper St. Clair, Donna Elizabeth Wik and her husband Mark and William Lloyd and his wife Sandra, all of Washington, PA and Deborah Sue Kaucic and her husband Jeffrey of Upper St. Clair; two brothers, Paul E. Chappel of Bridgeville, PA and Donald L. Chappel of Weirton, WV; nine grandchildren, Sherrin Razdeih and her husband Gary of Riverview, FL, Kristoffer Wik of Mt. Lebanon, Aaron Wik and his wife Betsy Dovec-Wik of Bellevue, USAF TSgt. Nathan Wik and his wife Kelly of Tucson, AZ, Jonathan Wik and his wife Terah of Washington, PA and Annaliese Kaucic of Upper St. Clair; five great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Kunde of Riverview, Tanner Cooper and Zachary Wik of Mt. Lebanon and Brennan and Presley Wik of Tucson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Louise; his parents, Richard and Kathryn Durbin Chappel; and seven siblings, George, Neil Ludlum, James, Raymond, Harry, Hayes and Richard.

Otto Debes
Otto F. Debes, 88, of Avalon, formerly of Ross Township, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
Mr. Debes was retired from Pepsi Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post #2754 West View.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Kitrick Debes; three sons, David and his wife Karen, Michael and his wife Janice and Paul Debes; three grandchildren, Shannon Nurss and her husband Rocky, Kristen Whitney and her husband Jack and Greg Debes; and two great-granddaughters, Katie and Ellie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores M. Platzer; and his great-grandson, Zachary.

Patricia Harlan-Thorne
Patricia Wills Harlan-Thorne, wife of the late David Harlan and John Thorne, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
She is survived by two children, Virginia Thorne-Opipare and her husband William and John D. Thorne and his wife Phyllis; six stepchildren, David C. Harlan and his wife Suzanne, Daniel Harlan, Carl R. Harlan and his wife Shelly, Patricia A. Schultheis and her husband Kenneth, Constance M. Sullivan and her husband Curtis and Timothy L. Harlan; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arlene Tarasi
Arlene M. McLaughlin Tarasi died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne A. Tarasi; two sons, Jason and his wife Jennifer, and Christopher; three siblings, Kathy Puskaric and her husband Ken, William McLaughlin and his wife Rose and Joe McLaughlin and his wife Cheryl; and a grandchild, Jordyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose McLaughlin.

Frank Satariano
Frank B. Satariano died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Johanna Schutzman Satariano; six children, Johanna Branagan and her husband Kevin, Angela, Thomas, Frank, Theresa and Marty Satariano; three brothers, Lawrence, John and Joseph Satariano; and two grandchildren, Jack Branagan and Sophia Bowman.

David Weeks
David Gerard Weeks, 68, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Bellevue, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012.
Mr. Weeks was a 1961 graduate of Bellevue High School and a 1967 graduate of Duquesne University. He was a longtime member of Greater Pittsburgh Aquatic Club and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach, where he served on the finance committee.
He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Cole, Dorothy Lupien and Margaret DoBridge; two siblings, Joan Weeks Kapp and Francis Sullivan; eight grandchildren, Richie, Katlyn and Hannah Cole, Robbie, Patrick, Meghan and Christine Lupien and Daniel DoBridge; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Weeks.
Services were held in Christ United Methodist Church on Sunday. Memorials are suggested to his church at 2901 Fantasy Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Arrangements were made by Grand Stand Funeral Home and Crematory.

Lois Shriver
Lois Munn Shriver, 87, of Emsworth, wife of the late Albert Shriver Jr., died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012.
Mrs. Shriver had been an active member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by three children, Cynthia Davis of Ross Township, Scott Shriver and his wife Kate of McCandless Township and James Shriver and his wife Nadine of Sedalia, CO; two sisters, Jeanne Pyle and Sara Zeyer; seven grandchildren, Katya Malkin and her husband Robert, Ruben Garcia, Sadie, Violet, Danielle, Gabriel and Alexandra Shriver; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Hannah and Abigail Malkin; dear friend, Jean Shannon; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Glenn Munn.

Joseph Smith Jr.
Joseph "Joe" Houseman Smith Jr., 67, of Seattle, WA, formerly of Ben Avon, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012.
Mr. Smith was a 1962 graduate of Avonworth High School. He earned all-state honors in football and basketball. He also competed in swimming and golf. He attended Parsons College in Fairfield, VA, where he earned a BA degree in business administration. At graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent a year as a supply officer in Vietnam. He spent a year at Marine Corps headquarters in Washington, DC as a captain. He worked for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh and Richland, WA for 27 years. He then worked as a contractor for Battelle and Bechtel Corp. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith; two sons, Joe Smith ad his wife Suzanne of Raleigh, NC and Brian Smith and his wife Nichole of Marina Del Rey, CA; two siblings, Sandra Smith of Pittsburgh and Bill Arnold and his wife Ann of Greenwood, SC; and four grandchildren, Bonnie, Drew, Ryland and Kalah Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Smith.
Friends were received at Mueller Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, WA. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Craig Gordon
Craig Gordon, 63, of Portersville, PA died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Mr. Gordon was a 1966 graduate of Avonworth High School. He earned a BA degree in education at Westminster College and his masters degree in special education at Slippery Rock University.
He is survived by two sons, Albert "Al" Gordon and his wife Rachel and George W. Gordon, all of Slippery Rock, PA; his stepson, Edward Brown of Harmony, PA; two grandchildren, Emmett William Gordon and Ali Juliana Gordon; two cousins, Nancy "Eloise" Bulebush and Amy Siford of Crafton; and his companion, Rebecca "Becky" Gottschalk of Portersville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Frances Craig Gordon.
A memorial service will be held in Plains Presbyterian Church, 326 Plains Church Rd., Cranberry Township, on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. Arrangements were made by Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.

Hildegard M. Pampuch Waters, wife of the late Raymond A. Waters, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.
She is survived by six children, Angelika Harberg of Germany, Marianne E. Schmitt, Frank J. Waters, Raymond J. Waters and his wife Marilyn, Dorothy M. Withers and her husband Bob and Marie Rau; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers; and her son-in-law, William Schmitt.

Thomas Osman
Thomas Christopher Osman, 24, of Ross Township, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012.
He is survived by his parents, Jon C. and Laura Gaugler Osman; three sisters, Alyssa, Sarah and Ashley Osman; his grandparents, Barb Osman, Rege and Marian Gaugler; five aunts and uncles, T.J. John Satnik, 86, of Brighton Heights, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.

John Anastasio Sr.
John J. Anastasio Sr. of Avalon died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
Mr. Anastasio was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict as an infantryman. He worked as a welder at Allis Chalmers for 27 years and a courier at Purolator (Consolidated Freight). During his retirement, he worked at Shannopin Country Club for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Tessa Anastasio; five children, Lori A. Lawless, Angela A. Lapson and her husband Daniel, John J. Anastasio Jr., Mary Kate Lynch and her husband Daniel and Connie Jo Anastasio; three grandsons, Matthew J. Lawless, Tristan K. Lynch and Dominic C. Lynch; and his nephew, J.S. Hodel and his wife Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebastiano and Gaetana Pistoria Anastasio; and three siblings, Dominic, Natsio and Josephine.
