John R. Lutchko, 80, of Ross Township, husband of the late Patricia Paulson Lutchko, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Martin and her husband Kevin and Carrie Anderson; his sister, Jean Brown; and a grandson, Tyler Martin.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Church of the Assumption today, Friday, at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
Rev. Norman Young
Rev. Norman Carlysle Young, 87, of Pittsburgh, husband of the late Janet Allaman Young, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.
Rev. Young was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Waynesburg College, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and the University of Pittsburgh. He was a student pastor at the age of 19 and retired in 1993. He served Methodist churches in West Bend-Rices Landing, Millsboro-West Bend-Rices Landing, Speers Coal Center and many more. He attended Dutilh United Methodist Church and Christ Church at Grove Farm, where he was active in 55 Plus and Primetimers. He served on many conference, community and Masonic committees, including Western PA Conference secretarial staff, Commission on Archives and History executive committee of Continuing Education, United Methodist Ministers Federal Credit Union, U.M. Male Chorus and Ambridge Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed camping, history and research.
He is survived by three children, Kathy Hamilton and her husband Bill, Marsha Young and Steven Young and his wife Maryjo; four grandchildren, Amy Garbin and her husband Mark, Kevin Hamilton, Jason Woods and Kaley Gasper and her husband Ken; and two great-grandchildren, Mikenna and Alex Garbin. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Danny Young; his parents, Adam and Sylvia Hamman Young; and four siblings, Margaret, Laverna, Adam Jr. and Clarence Keith.
Friends will be received at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township on Saturday, Nov. 7, until a memorial service is held at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Shippenville, PA on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to WPAUMC Commission on Archives and History, Norman Young Memorial Fund, c/o Western PA Conference of U.M. Church, P.O. Marie Mohr Campbell Godkins, 96, of Avalon, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015.
Mrs. Godkins was a 1937 graduate of Avalon High School. She was retired from Avalon Bank.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Campbell Bradel and her husband Gary; two grandchildren, Dallas Bradel and Kerilee Bradel Medwid; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Emily Medwid. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosalia Medwid; and five siblings, Jack, Louis, Vincent, Lillian Mohr and Frances Mathie.

Betty N. Crowley Bookser, 95, of Brighton Heights, wife of the late Charles E. Bookser, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.
Mrs. Bookser was a founding member of the Brighton Heights Citizens Federation and the Riverview Manor Board. She had been a volunteer at St. John General Hospital, John Morrow Elementary School, Meals On Wheels and a Girl Scout leader for many years. She also was an oil paint and stained glass artist and an accomplished calligrapher.
She is survived by two children, Marilynn Berner and her husband Ken and Michael Bookser and his wife Peggy; three grandchildren, Christopher Berner and his wife Heather, Kelly Ross and her husband Mike and Michael Bookser and his wife Katie; five great-grandchildren, Faith Berner, Caroline Berner, Jackson Ross, Peter Ross and Abraham Ross; and her niece, Eileen Crowley. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell N. Bookser and his wife Debbie.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. Funeral services were held in Brighton Heights Lutheran Church on Wednesday.
Beverly Ann Sprung
Beverly Ann Watcher Sprung of Emsworth died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, Michael R. Sprung; three children, Scott Wachter, Sean Sprung and Shelley Sprung; two siblings, Lorraine Schall and Michael Wachter; her grandson, Sebastian Sprung; and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Boron Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery on Thursday.
Rita Mamaux Costa, 96, of Bellevue, wife of the late Joseph Costa, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015.
Mrs. Costa was a longtime member of CD of A Court Bellevue. She had been a volunteer at Kane Regional in Ross Township.
She is survived by eight children, Nita Neugebauer, Dora Bridge, Frances M. Gasior, Marie T. Potts, Joseph F. Costa, Gerald S. Costa,Samuel A. Costa and Anthony C. Costa; 22 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
