Patricia Synan
Patricia Ann “Patti” Synan of West View died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.
Mrs. Synan was the owner and operator of Patti's Styling Salon in Bellevue. She was a professional hair stylist in various salons in the North Hills for more than 20 years before opening her own salon in 1989. She enjoyed cruises with family members and dinners with friends.
She is survived by her husband Terry; a son, Peter of Minnesota; a daughter, Tricia Grayson of Pittsburgh; two stepsons, Kevin and Danny Synan; two sisters, Jill Patsilevas and her husband Den, and Sue McCleary; her mother, Dorothy McCleary; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William McCleary.
Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 27, 2-9 p.m., at T. B. Devlin Funeral Home, Ross, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.

Thelma Hruch
Thelma M. Hruch of Ben Avon died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009.
She is survived by four children, Nicolette DiCicco, John Hruch and his wife Jean, Celeste Hruch-Schnaufer and her husband David and Vivian Huntoon; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her former husband, Nicholas Hruch.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where services were held on Wednesday. Burial was in St. Martin Cemetery.

Robert Henzler
Robert P. Henzler, 86, of Avalon, formerly of the North Side and husband of the late Helen M. Stiploshek Henzler, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009.
Mr. Henzler was a retired commander with 32 years of service with the Pittsburgh Police Dept. He was founder of the Pittsburgh Youth Squad and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, having served during World War II.
He is survived by six children, Catherine M. Weber, Robert M. Henzler, Mark A. Henzler, Jeffrey R. Henzler, David J. Henzler and Gregory W. Henzler; two siblings, Milton Henzler and Betty Hezlep; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Wednesday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Frieda Repko
Frieda L. Prom Repko, 98, formerly of Bellevue and wife of the late Michael R. Repko Sr., died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 in Wexford House.
Mrs. Repko was retired from the William Penn Hotel, where she worked as a waitress for 39 years. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption and Catholic Daughters of America Court Bellevue for 45 years.
She is survived by three siblings, Evelyn Weider, Jane Adams and Buddy Prom; two grandchildren, Jennifer Dinda and Stephen E. Repko; and three great-grandchildren, Michael Repko, Becky Repko and Lennon Dinda. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael R. Repko Jr. and his wife Mary.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church at 45 N. Sprague Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.

Robert Werner Jr.
Robert E. Werner Jr., 85, of Sherwood Oaks, formerly of Bellevue and husband of the late Laurel McDonnell Werner, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.
He is survived by three children, Carolyn Pearsall and her husband George of McCandless Township, Janet Leo and her husband Gene of Ross Township and Robert E. Werner III and his wife Ellen of Indiana; his sister, Sally Turnbull and her husband Edmund of Ben Avon Heights; six grandchildren, Amy Adkins and her husband Steven, George Pearsall Jr. and his wife Jill, Stephanie Shanahan and her husband Stephen, Robert Leo, Robert E. Werner IV and Laura Werner; and a great-grandson, Tyler Pearsall. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Werner.
Friends were received at Simons Funeral Home, North Hills, where services were held on Monday.

Harry Marzolf Jr.
Harry Marzolf Jr. of Brighton Heights, husband of the late Shirley Marzolf, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009.
Mr. Marzolf was a longtime member and elder of Providence United Presbyterian Church in Brighton Heights. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He is survived by four sons, Richard Marzolf, Gary Marzolf and his wife Jan, Jeffrey Marzolf and his wife Carol and Mark Marzolf and his wife Missy; five grandchildren, Michele Rutter, Heidi Shindledecker, Stephen Marzolf, Jeffrey Marzolf Jr. and Robert Marzolf; and two great-granddaughters, Brooke and Paige Rutter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Margaret Marzolf; and his sister, Louise Marzolf.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side, where services were held on Wednesday.

Rose Ann Young
Rose Ann Young, 78, of Canfield, OH, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.
Mrs. Young was a member of St. Michael Church in Canfield and taught literacy. She also was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Harry E. Young II; her son, Harry E. Young III; four siblings, Sam Cammarata and his wife Peg, Joe Cammarata and his wife Chris, Nancy Belmar and Mary Jane Leonetti; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cataldo and Lena Cammarata; two brothers, Al Cammarata and his wife Fran and Bill Cammarata; and her brother-in-law, Fred Belmar.

Rose Balestrieri
Rose Machi Balestrieri, wife of the late Philip Balestrieri, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009.
Mrs. Balestrieri was a member of St. Cyril of Alexandria Ladies Guild and Ladies of Charity.
She is survived by four children, Mary Stauffer, Thomas F. Balestrieri and his wife Valerie, Antoinette Schipani and her husband Joseph and Frank P. Balestrieri and his wife Kathy; three siblings, Antoinette Machi, Joseph Machi and Antonette Natto; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothea; and three brothers, Michael, Mario and Frank Machi.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Wednesday.

Ross Stutz
Ross F. Stutz, 88, formerly of Ross Township and husband of the late Dolores V. Gullo Stutz, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 in Shelbourne Assisted Living, Butler, PA.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanne Stoppello of Brentwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Stutz; and his sister, Patricia Stumpf.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Friday.
