Genevieve Opperman
Genevieve R. "Jean" Kowalski Opperman, wife of the late James Q. Opperman, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.
She is survived by four daughters, Valerie A. Bottles, Marita L. Baginski and her husband Tom, Barbara J. DeTemple and her husband Donald and Terry A. Walsh and her husband Mike; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy E. Opperman; and two brothers.
There was no visitation. A funeral mass was held in Risen Lord Church on Saturday. Arrangements were made by O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side.

Mildred Staley
Mildred V. Staley, 87, of Carnegie, wife of the late Joseph Staley, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012.
She is survived by two sisters, Agnes Miller and Dolores Kozlowski; her niece, Andrea Corso; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, George Werbanec, Veronica Herman and Raymond Werbanec.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Friday. Memorials are suggested to People Concerned for the Unborn Child, 3050 Pioneer Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15226.

Henry Lowman
Henry "Hank" Loch Lowman, 60, of Gibsonia, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012.
Mr. Lowman enjoyed playing tennis.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Franklin Lowman; two sons, Michael Loch Lowman and his wife Amanda of Wexford and Andrew Franklin Lowman of Bellevue; two brothers, William Morris Lowman and his wife Penny and Charles Leighton Lowman and his wife Mary Kate; and three grandchildren, Eliza Loch, Grey William and Wyatt Atticus Lowman.
A memorial service was held in New Community Church in Wexford on Tuesday. Gloria Eng
Gloria C. Sook Fong Eng, 79, formerly of Carrick and Keyport, NJ and wife of the late Thomas Eng, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012.
She is survived by two sons, Gwaitkee Thomas Eng and his wife Lynda and Gwaitkee Joseph Eng; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Timmy Eng; and siblings.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics of Allegheny County, 404 First St., Heidelberg, PA 15106.

Anthony Calega
Anthony B. Calega, 89, of Pittsburgh, husband of the late Angeline Andreoletti Calega and Virginia M. Trozzi Calega, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
Mr. Calega was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years, retiring as postmaster.
He is survived by four children, John Calega, Anthony J. Calega and his wife Cheryl, Tresa Fedele and her husband Jerry and Virginia C. Calega and her husband Mark Sereni; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Collier and her husband John, Shannon Calega, Christina Moyer and her husband Corey, Katherine, Jeffrey and Andrew Fedele; three great-granddaughters, Ava, Cate and Courtney; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine A. Calega; and two siblings, James Calega and Mary Bryant.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Friday.
