Alma Fleming
Alma Eleanor Oestreicher Fleming, 97, of Wadsworth, OH, formerly of Kilbuck Township and wife of the late James D. Fleming, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Livingston and her husband Paul; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three nephews; and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nellie Oestreicher; and her brother, Charles Oestreicher and his wife Helene.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side, until the time of services on Friday. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.

John Koch Jr.
John L. Koch Jr. of Aleppo Township, formerly of Ben Avon Heights, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.
Mr. Koch was a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and Yale University in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Zeta Psi fraternity. He worked at USSteel in Philadelphia, Buffalo and Syracuse, then returned to Pittsburgh as a senior products specialist and developed marketing strategies for Corton and other products. He was an executive with United Fund, and a resident of Ben Avon Heights for 45 years, where he served as mayor for 22 years. He served on the ACORD board, Meals On Wheels and was a founding director of Avonworth Communities Together (ACT). He also was instrumental in the Lenzner Field House complex and was an avid golfer at Shannopin Country Club, where he was a member. He also was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and an enthusiastic hiker. He was active in many civic matters throughout Allegheny County as well as in his church. He served as elder and on the Presbytery committee.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Challis Koch; three children, John L. Koch III and his wife Amelia Williams, David C. Koch of New Orleans, LA and Sarah C. Koch of Philadelphia; his brother, Alben Cooper Koch and his wife Harriet Woodworth of Pasadena, CA; two grandchildren, Amelia and Jack Koch of New Orleans; and his sister-in-law, Sarah Wall and her husband James T. of Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. Koch and Theodosia Cooper.
Friends were received at Copeland Funeral Home, Sewickley. Services were held in the Presbyterian Church in Sewickley on Thursday. Donations are suggested to his church at 414 Grant St., Sewickley, PA 15143.

Katherine Alioto
Katherine D. Nigrelli Alioto, 92, of Bellevue, wife of the late Michael Alioto, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.
Mrs. Alioto was an active member of the Church of the Assumption and the Catholic Daughters of America. She had solicited donations and collected pennies during the construction of the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh.
She is survived by four children, John M. Alioto of Hampton Township, Rosann Alioto Breen of Ross Township, Samuel J. Alioto of St. Louis, MO and Joseph M. Alioto; her sister, Frances Monda of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Gregory Alioto, Nicholas Alioto, Breanne Alioto Pearl and Michael Breen; and two daughters-in-law, Donna Krysinski Alioto and Kathryn Reynolds Alioto. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Joseph Nigrelli.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A requiem mass was held in the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday.

Genevieve Coulter
Genevieve Coulter, 87, of Ross Township, wife of the late Charles A. Coulter, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
Mrs. Coulter was a former member of AARP North Side Chapter.
She is survived by her nephew, Kevin Mullen; and her grandniece, Jennifer Mullen.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

Vera Dereskavich
Vera M. Dereskavich, 85, of Brighton Heights, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, George Dereskavich; her sister, Muriel Ivancik and her husband Pete; and nieces and nephews.

Amy Grundler
Amy L. Grundler, 37, of Bellevue, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth Corcoran Grundler of Bellevue; her brother, Eric Grundler of Bellevue; her grandparents, Eleanor Corcoran, Ambrose and Mary Grundler; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Ambrose J. Grundler; and her grandfather, Louis Corcoran.

John Westhead III
John "Jack" William Westhead III, 83, of Bellevue, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011.
Mr. Westhead was a 1947 graduate of Bellevue High School.
A memorial service will be held in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Perrysville on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m.

Grace Connolly
Grace R. Connolly, 88, wife of the late John E. Connolly, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.
She is survived by two children, Patricia Vitale and her husband Jack and Charles Connolly; and three granddaughters, Gina Belvedere, Cara Sosso and Erin Bonifate.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Wednesday.
