Anthony "Tony" Thomas Coppola
Anthony "Tony" Thomas Coppola, 57, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, October 12, 2017.
He had a long and fulfilling career in the floor covering industry culminating in his own carpet and floor covering business, Coppola's Carpet & Floor Covering.
Tony is survived by his fiancée, Dana Boles; his daughters, Amanda (husband, Neel) Lauer, and Danielle; his granddaughter, Blake; his siblings, Darlene Buechel, Connie (husband, Wes) Bain, Dr. Lisa (husband, David Kilpatrick) Coppola, Dr. Matthew (wife, Candy) Coppola, Dr. Gregory (wife, Michelle) Coppola; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He was proud to have recently become a grandfather. There wasn't a room he didn't light up when he walked in, and his contagious laugh that will never be forgotten or replaced. He enjoyed chasing after his dog, Mikey, who is infamous for jumping in neighbors' pools. He loved "chewing the fat" at the local watering hole. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Martha M. (Piotrowski) Hatala
Martha M. (Piotrowski) Hatala, 88, of Brighton Heights, died Sunday, October 14, 2017.
She was the wife of wife of the late Nicholas R. "Nick" Hatala, Sr.; mother of Nick R. (Maryann) Hatala, Jr., and the late Dr. Marcia (Hatala) Martin and family; sister of Clara Wielgus and the late Helen Skebo, Bernice Nawrocki, John and Steve Piotrowski; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Martha helped run her husband's plumbing business for 20 years as office manager and worked at Murphy's in Bellevue for 25 years.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family for their chosen charities.

Susan A. (Stern) Vojtecky
Susan A. (Stern) Vojtecky, 77, of Ross Township, died Saturday, October 14, 2017.
She was the wife of Ralph Vojtecky for 49 years; sister to Jo Ann (Stern) Ladesic, Donna (Stern) Schaupp and the late Mary Jo (Stern) Magnone; daughter of the late Dorothy and Joseph Stern; aunt to Dana (Magnone) Jenkins, Robert Magnone, Al Ladesic, Jennifer Schaupp, Marci (Vojtecky) Minear, Lisa Vojtecky, Lois Chesky, John Chesky, Daniel Chesky, Lou Caruso, Linda Caruso, Martin Vojtecky and Virginia (Vojtecky) Bernaciak; and friend to many in the community.
Susan grew up on Troy Hill and attended Most Holy Name. She then was an aspirant at the Academy of Holy Angels in Fort Lee, NJ and the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD. Afterward, she worked for 20 years as a secretary at Mobil Chemical. She loved travel, golf, movies, restaurants, music, and home-shopping networks.
Susan was dedicated to her family and committed to her Catholic faith, especially at Assumption Church in Bellevue.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Dolores “Dolly” Helen Sozanski
Dolores “Dolly” Helen Sozanski, 91, of Avalon, died Thursday, October 12, 2017.
She was the wife of seventy years to Edward Sozanski; mother of Barbara MacIver (husband Gregory) Dublin, Ohio, Carol Smith (husband Greg) of Jacobsburg, Ohio and Robert E. Sozanski (wife Linda) of Bellevue; grandmother also known as "Mia" to Kristi Markins, Christine Hickey, Amy Geiger, Beth MacIver, Michelle Bevan, Kelsey Sozanski and great-grandmother of A.J. Geiger, Ava Geiger, Giuliana Hickey, and Emma Nicole Bevan; sister of the late Donald Kujawski.
Dolly was a very educated and skilled woman who worked as a talented draftsman for a drafting company prior to and after her years of motherhood and raising her family She later gained her real estate license working for both Northwood Reality and Century 21. She was known as "Dusty" to many Girl Scouts, her outstanding volunteer work led to an administrative position with the Girl Scouts Organization. Dolly's achievements in this world will be remembered by her friends and family.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 20th, 2017 from 1 pm until 3 pm and 5 pm until the time of service at 7 pm at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 California Avenue, Avalon. Inurnment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
