Anthony R. Bisese
Anthony R. Bisese of Ross Township, on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. Dearest husband of 66 years to Phyllis (DeRubbo) Bisese; loving father of David J. Bisese (Lisa) and Amy B. Keener (Scott); brother of Joseph Bisese, Charles Bisese, and the late Robert Bisese and Laura Hubbard; loving grandfather of Stephanie, Emily, and Kimberly; step-grandfather of Kellsie.
Friends were received Sunday at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills, where a Blessing Service was held Monday at 11 a.m. Tony was an avid golfer at North Park Golf Course.

Mary Ann Ireton
Mary Ann Chopnak Ireton, 70, of Avalon, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.
Ms. Ireton was retired from Highmark. She was a member of Out of Blues retiree club.
She is survived by five cousins, Marcianne Shoup, Sr. Estelle Chopnak, Judy Jasick, Stephen Hatbob and Mary Lou Hunt; and dear friends, Charles and Alice Marie Boyle, Tina McMonagle and Roseanna Downey. She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Lillian Boyscik Chopnak.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Saturday.

Albert Cornman Jr.
Albert B. "Butch" Cornman Jr., 66, of Emsworth, formerly of Edgewood, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.
Mr. Cornman was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at CED-Mosebach Electric.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Valenti Cornman; two sons, Eric Cornman and his wife Jennifer of Crescent Township and Brad Cornman of Emsworth; two sisters, Janet Woodhouse and Beverly Frye; two grandchildren, Lily and Delaney; and best friend, Desi. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, William Woodhouse.

Mae Hoak
Mae E. Hoak, 94, formerly of Avalon and wife of the late Stanley A. Hoak, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.
She is survived by seven children, Paul, Arthur, Patricia Tews, Roy, Larry, Daniel and Carl; her sister, Eleanor Harms; 13 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Private arrangements were made by Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home.

Garry Kloppenburg
Garry Alan "Kloppy" Kloppenburg, 51, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
Mr. Kloppenburg was a 1979 graduate of Northgate High School. He was a master auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and racing his Jeep. He was a member of Triangle Four Wheelers and North America Fishing Club.
He is survived by his parents, Karl and Ruth Kloppenburg of Plantation, FL, formerly of Avalon; his sister, Linda Kloppenburg Miller; his brother-in-law, Daniel; and uncle of Tim, Sarah and Greg.
Private arrangements were made by Rex Smith Funeral Home.

John McDonald
John B. "Jack" McDonald, 86, of Bellevue, husband of the late Julie Ann McDonald, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
Mr. McDonald was a Bellevue High School graduate and received his civil engineering degree at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Prugar and her husband Todd; and his brother, Jim McDonald and his wife Zee of Colorado.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon, where a blessing service was held on Thursday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the Church of the Assumption, 45 N. Sprague Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202.

Frances Metzger
Frances Dunham Metzger, 88, of Bellevue, wife of the late Dr. Charles W. Metzger, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Metzger and Charles Metzger and his wife Debbie; her brother, Milton Dunham of West Port, MA; two grandsons, Kevin and his wife Gretchen and Stephen Midgley; and two great-grandchildren, Collin and Miranda Midgley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine J. Midgley.

Clarence Cottrell
Clarence D. Cottrell, 87, of Bellevue, husband of the late Bonnie Center Cottrell, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.
Mr. Cottrell was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of West View VFW #2754.
He is survived by five children, James Miller and his wife Carey, Danny Cottrell and his wife Veronica, Gary Cottrell, Deborah Reinhart and her husband William and Sandra Boyer and her husband Ron; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Albert Merriman
Albert Merriman, 99, of Brighton Heights, husband of the late Frances Merriman, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Zavarella and her husband Vincent; two grandsons, Eric and his wife Tiffany and Nash and his wife Jennifer; and four great-grandchildren, Chase, Trent, Skylar and Josalyn.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church on Saturday.

Joseph Koppin
Joseph I. Koppin, 91, of Avalon, formerly of Observatory Hill and husband of the late Madeline Killmeyer Koppin, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
Mr. Koppin was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was retired from the National Credit Union Administration, having served for 27 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Jane LoBello and her husband Joseph of Ambridge and Joan Koppin of Avalon; his sister, Helen Gorski of Lawrenceville; four granddaughters, Nina LoBello, Cecelia Bayne and her husband Tim, Rosa Blanarik and her husband John and Loretta Fairley and her husband Ryan; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Incarnation of the Lord Church on Monday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

Jonathan Kalb
Jonathan Michael Kalb, 28, of Ohio Township, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Sherry Berwick Kalb; four siblings, Ken Kalb and his wife Katie, Janelle Porta and her husband Craig, Josh and Sam Kalb; his grandparents, Patricia Kalb, Clyde and Evelyn Berwick; his niece, Rosalie Kalb; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Homer Kalb.

Francis Fenk
Francis Philip "Phil" Fenk, 81, of Avalon, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.
Mr. Fenk was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had owned F.P. Fenk Television Sales and Service Co. in Avalon from 1967 to 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Fenk; five children, Donna Baran and her husband George, Karen Rolen and her husband Michael, Richard Fenk, Gregory Fenk and Michael Fenk and his wife Jennifer; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Kretzler.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in the Church of the Assumption on Friday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were made by McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon.
