Shirley Flack Orris
Shirley Flack Orris, of Bellevue, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014.
She is survived by four children, Barbara Flack, Kathy Tait and her husband Spike, Sandy Flack, and David Flack and his wife, Sue, of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Bryan, April David Jr., Charlie, Jackie and David.
Donations are suggested to the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Gerard Mascara Sr.
Gerard P. "Jerry" Mascara Sr., 55, of Glenfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015.
He is survived by three children, Jacqueline Hartley and her husband Adam, Gerard "Jerry" Mascara II and his wife Lori and Joshua Mascara; his mother, Janet L. Mascara; two siblings, Cynthia Mascara and her husband Sam and Joseph R. Mascara Jr.; three grandchildren, Carly, Colton and Brady; a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Mascara.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Saturday.

Sylvester Robertson Jr.
Sylvester Robertson Jr., 59, of Avalon, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015.
A memorial celebration was held in Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bellevue on Saturday. Arrangements were made by Robinson Funeral Home, Perry Hilltop.

Stephen Ivancik
Stephen Ivancik, 89, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015.
Mr. Ivancik was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served at NTS WimVA, 62nd NCB and aboard the USS South Dakota in the South Pacific. He worked at Western Hills schools for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley E. Bergman Ivancik; two daughters, Faith Thompson and her husband Matthew of McCandless and Bonnie Abplanalp and her husband Edward of Warren, PA; two siblings, Ann Zacharias and Pete Ivancik; and four grandchildren,Stephen and Matthew Abplanalp and Joshua and Sara Thompson. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Mike and Nick Ivancik, Jewell Pestapack and Katherine Fobas.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A funeral service was held in Bellevue United Presbyterian Church on Monday. Donations are suggested to his church or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Kathy Hall
Kathy Hall, 64, of McCandless Township died.
Mrs. Hall worked as a real estate agent for 36 years.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hall; two children, Susan Marie Priore and Michael W. Hall and his wife Bryana; two siblings, George Cenkovich and his wife Rosemary and Eileen Salzman and her husband Jon; five grandchildren, Lauren, Alec, Brendan and Alicia Priore and Julianne Hall; sister-in-law of Donald Hall and Margret Hall; and six nieces and nephews, Marcy Bruce, Jason Salzman, Erica Volk, Becky Darney, Lisa Halstead and Don Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Cenkovich.
Friends were received at Simons Funeral Home, North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Monday.

Frances Gordon Moore
Frances Alma Gordon Moore, 98, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2005.
Friends were received at Robinson Funeral Home, Perry Hilltop. A memorial celebration was held in Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bellevue on Monday.

Dr. David Agostoni
David B. Agostoni, DMD, 69, of Ohio Township died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.
Dr. Agostoni was a 1971 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School and was in practice for 43 years in the North Hills, Evans City and Portersville, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Karen "the Redhead" Agostoni; two children, Lisa M. Agostoni and Jason D. Agostoni and his wife Dr. Jacqueline Weaver; his grandchild, Skyler Agostoni; his brother-in-law, Edward Katchthaler and his wife Colleen; and uncle of Nicole, Edward and Rhiannon Katchthaler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Teresa Agostoni.
Friends were received at Simons Funeral Home, North Hills, where services were held on Tuesday. Donations are suggested to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western PA.

James Hirsch
James F. "Chubby" Hirsch of Bellevue died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015.
Mr. Hirsch had earned a scholarship to the University of Florida for football and baseball. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox after winning the SEC batting title. He was the former mayor of Bellevue and a retired tipstaff for the Allegheny County courts.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann "Boots" Fisher Hirsch; two daughters, Kim E. Motycka and her husband Steve and Amy K. O'Neill and her husband Leo; his daughter-in-law, Jane Hirsch; and eight grandchildren, Nicole Motycka, Steve Motycka and his wife Cait, Michael Motycka, Amanda, James, Frankie, Patrick and Julianne Hirsch. He was preceded in death by two sons, Frank E. Hirsch and James T. "Patrick" Hirsch.
Friends were received at Devlin Funeral Home, North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Ferdinand Church on Tuesday.

John Schneider Jr.
John L. Schneider Jr., 61, of Emsworth, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015.
Mr. Schneider was a letter carrier for more than 20 years and enjoyed meeting the dogs and cats on his route.
He is survived by his son, Ryan "RJ" Schneider; his sister, Susan Schneider; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Evan L. Schneider; and his parents, John L. Sr. and Romayne Schneider.

Robert Ruch
Robert Wayne Ruch, 79, of Emsworth, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015.
Mr. Ruch was a retired Avalon Borough and Kilbuck Township police officer. He served in the U.S. Army Honor Guard. He was an active member of North Hills Boroughs and Townships Police Association. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by four children, Mark Ruch of Emsworth, Alisa Welsch of Florida, Andrea Montgomery of South Carolina and Michelle Yeiser of Virginia; his sister, Dorothy Falco; four grandchildren, Leanne Montgomery, Cody Ruch, Isabelle and Ava Yeiser; and his cousin, Jackie Kralosky. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Ruch.
Friends were received at McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Avalon, until the time of services on Wednesday. Donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Nina Sherman
Nina Salapow Sherman, 90, formerly of Bellevue and Avalon and wife of the late Norman Sherman, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 in Ellwood City Hospital.
Mrs. Sherman had been a loan officer at Mellon Bank in Bellevue. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of North Pittsburgh Quilters Guild.
She is survived by five children, Emma Fischer and her husband Drue of Ellwood City, Norman Sherman and his wife Burdell of Florida, Tom Sherman and his wife Ruthann of Virginia, Jim Sherman of North Carolina and David Sherman and his wife Martha of Berlin, PA;four siblings, Catherine Didycz, Rose Neiss, Jean Goldbach and Michael Salapow, all of South Hills; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Logue; and her parents, Averian and Maria Trochanowska Salapow.
A memorial service will be held in the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home in Avalon on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Gloria Ninehauser
Gloria Owens Ninehauser of Bellevue, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Ninehauser Sr.; four children, Donna Smith and her husband Hilton, Joseph Ninehauser Jr. and his wife Linda, John Ninehauser and his wife Devi and special friend, Laura Cook and Mary Obnot and her husband Michael; two sisters, Alma Kiger and Marianne Princz; six grandchildren, Scott and Jason Smith, Ryan and Hannah Ninehauser, Joshua and Jessica Obriot; and a step-grandson, Jeremy Cooper. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harland Owens.
Friends were received at the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue, where a blessing service was held on Thursday. Burial was in Highwood Cemetery.

Arthur Osborn
Arthur R. Osborn, 97, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Brookie Means Osborn; five children, Jeff Osborn and his wife Sue of FL, Jean Spires and her husband Mike of Edinboro, PA, Martin Osborn and his wife Joy of AL, Joanne Osborn and Inez Miller and her husband Matt; his sister -in-law, Ruth Osborn of NC; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Gregory Osborn.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass will be held in St. Cyril of Alexandria Church today, Friday, at 11 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Marian Hall, 934 Forest Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
