Margaret Mary Parker Halligan died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016.
Mrs. Halligan served in the WAVES during World War II.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Halligan; nine children, Christine A. Grisham and her husband Mark of Texas, David T. Halligan and his wife Rekha, William J. Halligan, Cynthia A. Halligan, Leslie A. Ernst and her husband Christopher of New York, Bethany A. Prior and her husband Francis of Texas, Thomas W. Halligan and his wife Carol of Virginia, Gregory A. Halligan and his wife Kathy and Patricia A. Halligan; two sisters, Patricia Carroll of Philadelphia and JoAnn Rodgers and her husband Michael; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Carroll; and two grandchildren.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass was held in the Church of the Assumption on Saturday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
Diane M. Tuite Sistek, 56, of Brighton Heights, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.
Mrs. Sistek owned and operated Llewellyn Painting along with her brother for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Sistek; her mother, Dorothy C. Pelles Tuite; two siblings, Cindy Tuite and Kevin Tuite and his wife Leann; and two nieces and a nephew, Shannon King Capeluppo, Justin King and his wife Vanessa and Valerie Tuite. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Tuite; and her sister, Michelle A. King and her husband Tony.

William Hughes Jr.
William T. "Tom" Hughes Jr., 71, of Ben Avon, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016.
Mr. Hughes had been a special education teacher for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Olexa Hughes; his daughter, Whitney Hughes and her husband James Sanfilippo; two grandchildren, Caroline Emma and Alexander Thomas Sanfilippo; and his mother-in-law, Helen Olexa.
There was no visitation, and burial was private. Memorials are suggested to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Arrangements were made by the Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, Bellevue.
Frank J. Lux, 92, of West Sunbury, PA, formerly of Avalon and husband of the late Mary Ann Mogus Lux, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.
Mr. Lux was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a retired graphic artist and a member of the Graphic Arts International Teamsters Local #24, the Associated Artists of Butler and a member of the American Legion Post in Avalon for more than 50 years.
He is survived by four children, Valerie A. Gallagher and her husband Larry, Kevin F. Lux and his wife Terry, Bruce D. Lux and his wife Mishell and Mark S. Lux and his wife Lori; three siblings, Regis Lux and his wife Gloria, Betty Wilson and Myrna Perry and her husband Stewart; five grandchildren, Bethany, Jeremy, Shane, Jared and Emily; and a great-grandson, Emmett. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sylvia.
Friends were received at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Sacred Heart Church in Emsworth on Monday. Raymond John Mustovic, 82, of the North Side, husband of the late Nina Mustovic, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.
Mr. Mustovic was a U.S. Army veteran. He owned Ray's Barber Shop and was an active community volunteer.
He is survived by his daughter, Joan A. Meta; and his granddaughter, Autumn M. Meta. He was preceded in death by his son, John Mustovic; his parents; and three siblings.

Hilary C. "Larry" Opperman, husband of the late Barbara Joyce Opperman, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016.
He is survived by four children, Elizabeth Opperman and her husband Carley, April Opperman and her husband Kurt, Lawrence Opperman and his wife Carol and Matthew Opperman and his wife Stephanie; two siblings, Barbara Cummings and Duke Opperman; nine grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Anne Opperman; and five siblings, Evelyn, Patricia, Thomas, James and Douglas.
Friends were received at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, North Side. A funeral mass will be held today, Friday, in Risen Lord Church at 10 a.m.
