Grants approved

Both Avalon and Bellevue will receive state grant funds for projects in those boroughs.

State Rep. Adam Ravenstahl announced that Avalon will receive $192,000 for a sewer project. Borough manager Lorraine Makatura said that the funds will pay to replace a sewer line from Sedalia Avenue to the borough’s park.

Bellevue will receive $225,000 for work at memorial Park. Director of Administrative Services Ron Borczyk said the money will be used for rehabilitation of the baseball field and the fitness trail.
