Emsworth projects

Emsworth Borough is preparing for two large projects. The first will benefit residents and visitors to Marmo Park. The second is likely to inconvenience many drivers, but when completed will assist in safety and water control.

Bids are being sought for the Marmo Park renovation project, which includes resurfacing the existing basketball court, conversion of the tennis court to pickelball courts and creating ADA access as well as minor drainage work and parking lot mill and overlay.

Bids are also being sought for a special sewer repair project on Route 65 during which a new sanitary sewer manhole and approximately 100 feet of eight inch sewer lining will be installed. During the work, a portion of Ohio River Boulevard will be closed for one weekend for excavation and installation. If the project is not completed during the weekend, short term lane closures of the boulevard will be permitted.

Bids for both projects are due March 6, with both projects planned to be completed this year.
